Fantastic result! I already got more from this race than anticipated. And from a loanie. Great

No time loss for Keizer okay.
But with already a horrible GC result, my team could at least join the breakaways.
Just not my season I guess. |

Nice to see Morobito in the break - he is one of the better climbers in the team here at Duetschland so really hoping he can slip in another and snatch the mountains jersey.
Typical nonsensical hilly stage in a stage race. Honestly as soon as there is a mountain in there you may as well forget the hilly stuff unless there is a really hard terrain. It generally goes to the break no matter what. Phinney almost sprinted to bonifications - it will all come down to that mountain stage.

Well a great TTT performance and no time lost on the first potentially decisive stage, so far so good for Schumacher. I'm really surprised the gap came down so quickly to the breakaway there.

Plenty of trouble in today's stage. In the end, I'm just glad Gesink didn't lose any extra time.

Wow! Sagan continues his strong season with another beautiful result, nice decision he used his strong downhill skills, great win! Velits finished strong in the field as well, nice to see that. The next two stages are going to be crucial, hopefully both my leaders will keep getting good results.

Brilliant stuff by Dyrnes, obviously very happy with that
I bit disappointing that the GC riders with a strong hill stat didn't test the others, but it was probably to be expected due to the easy finish. Will be interesting to see if they make anything of the next stage, as the final climb looks really steep towards the end.
Thanks for the report, Selwink! |

For a moment, I got the idea that alex had just had another decisive crash from his leader,. Fortunately that was not the case.
It's also good to see the hills staying quiet in the GC department. Hopefully that'll be the case next stage as well.
Congrats Roman. This victory from Sagan was truly deserved.

You'd think the strong hill riders would actually try on a hill stage!

Ginanni´s presence here is waste of race days, again. Congrats Roman, great win for Sagan.

This is better I guess.
Weird stage. In the end no time loss for Keizer is good.
Nice report. |

It's a shame, that chasing groups sometimes stop pushing for no reasons. Looked like a greattrace soon after this climb.
Schleck though

I freaking love you Selwink. That pace! Amazing!
Kept the mountainjersey and Ratiy didn't explode, so a good day for us.

Finally, a glimmer of life! Diggle in 4th is a good comeback result for the team. Hoping Faiers will recover in time for the ITT and that Cattaneo can hold on in the mountains to move up a bit in GC. Big ask, but it's all I can hope for.
Great reports as always, and like SotD, loving the two-a-day.

Terrible AI, but another win for Frank Schleck
He won't win the race, not with that final TT, but if it boosts him in the Mountain stage than a Top 5 could now be possible.

Pretty anonymous stage, the best thing about it for our team is that it made for another day with two stages posted!
Also nice to see Dyrnes give us some extra points with his current placings in the KoM and points jersey competitions.
Congratulations to SN, Schleck really taking advantage of the poor AI. |

Excellent reporting here - Schleck got clear everyone else merged.
Good for Schleck and Vesuvio holding strong.
Will be interesting to see what happens on the mountain stages.

Great job from Bagot. Here's hoping he can carry this on and win the KoM |
