Always good to see Boonratanathanakorn in the break I guess reporters just cut and paste I just imagine them trying to say his name
How exactly did those two sprinters miss the time limit? I mean it was pan flat pretty much before bluff hill did they just climb it really slow?
This race by the way is surely about that coronet climb.

Horrible name indeed. Often consider to name him Boonrat only making it easier to spell.

One crashed/one punctured. And then they apparently don`t go the biggest speed until the end. Not good AI unfortunately as they should go all-in to make it within time. |

If I remember correctly, the same thing almost happened last year on this stage when early on a few sprinters lost contact (including Maksimov) and took an easy ride home.

4th is good for Berhane, but what's not so good is that he hasn't gained anything for his efforts. Promising signs for the Mountain stage at least.
These sort of profiles don't tend to play out too well in PCM - there's always going to be positioning luck involved.

Not when I'm reporting! Boon-ratana-thana-korn. Easy!

Samwel not losing any time there, but should lose another minute here in the TTT. Need to limit the losses and then push on the big mountain stage. |

Strong showing from Lloret, Livramento, and even Newton (44th ). I'm thinking we should be one of the favourites for the TTT next to Oz with most of team decent in TT's.
Hopefully we get lucky and Abal and Plaza do a large majority of the turns on the front and we get Lloret in yellow.

Hey look a 2nd place. Its the same every time. Let one weaker guy get clear and then we just show that we are the strongest but mis-time the catch of the guy in first. 1 Victory all year, and probably 15 2nd places.

Great sprint by Corioni on the 2nd stage. Meiji's train was superior, making it impossible for him to catch Meyer and Lo Cicero. But still, a nice performance!
Also happy to see no time gaps on this stage. Duarte is still in a nice position. Hopefully we can get through tomorrows TTT without losing too many seconds.

Looks like we met a strong field here, so hoping to do all our damage in the crucial TT. At least Raisin wasn't dropped on the hill-classified stage, so all is good for now...

Perfection Really didn't want to see Ford back in yellow, so taking the stage plus avoiding yellow is great. Always nice to win a close TT
Bennett still down in the GC hopefully will mean, that he is amongst those trying to attack early on Coronet Peak. Can't expect another great result, but this is Bennett's main race this year.
EDIT: Just noticed, that Michael Ford lost 4 seconds on the winning time Well played, tactically. Well played, sir.

Could have been worse, and Topchanyuk didn't lose time on his teammates. The youth jersey should be his goal now.

Decided to post this one today already.
While I am really happy about the winner as this might be the needed result for the team and also like to see a Kiwi in the top10 after a nice fight, some teams got hit here by the AI.
In especially Meiji and Kenya with horrible results and also Venchi is far off.
CSC might not win, but having 3 up there is almost the same point wise I guess. |

This is exactly we needed. Pedraza was incredible. Amazing. Bloody hell, that was incredible. If we want to stay in PCT, this is the performances we need. We just need to hold it together in stage 6, and it's ours. C'mon baby! |

Awesome win for Pedraza, happy for Mobil. Surprisingly poor by Duarte that was strange. CSC dont win bur score well, but Oz scoring here as well nicely. Cool race as expected so far.

Nice win for Mobil! I'm happy for them. . Well deserved and long overdue.
It's not good for our relegation battle, but I've already accepted it and started planning

Ouch, feel really sorry for Meiji in particular. Damn tough luck that Ji decided to sit. Same with Samwel.
CSC with a truly good GC-result, if nothing happens on final day. But i'm really proud of Bennett! When i read he got dropped early, i lost all hopes. But George with a great fight to go for a pretty great GC-position yet.
As the creator of that stage, i am pretty glad to see a selective race there. Gratz, Mig!
