Brilliant Basque success for Cardoso, Arredondo battles to 6th on GC
The most important win of the season took place on the opening day of the Basque tour as Andre Cardoso took a typical Chaotic Basque sprint. The team then concentrated on protecting Arredondo on GC to good effect, unfortunate that a flat TT at the end saw him drop from 4th to 6th on GC. Still a more than decent effort from the Caja team
Machado second behind the Gorilla in Cologne
Ricardo Martinez Machado once again produced a fine sprinting display in a hard classic - nabbing a strong second place behind Andre Griepal in the Rund um Koln classic
