Ok, Froome is gonna win, we get it, but can we at least try to go for a top 10, guys?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well done König, from here on there's only one way: Up!
Also nice to see how Birt shows no sign of fear and is actively attacking in the second stage of his first Grand Tour.

Good stage for Net-App Endura but not such a good stage for Mitchell Birt. Hopefully he can improve in the rest of the Mountain stages.

Owniak <3 When you cross the line before Purito on a summit finish, you can only be good

Well done team, well done...
Though that TTT win was fantastic, the second stage was not. Though Froome's biggest threat to the GC win putting in a huge attack on stage 2 isn't exactly realistic either.

The third stage summit finish is easier then yesterday’s but still hard enough that pure sprinters won’t be able to win today. The small bump before the final hill is able to prevent a bunch sprint. Look out for the punchers. the GC leader depends on when the first move is made, if it’s on the hill before the last one it’s not unthinkable for Valverde to lose the jersey. If it’s on the final hill it’s likely not to change

Three man breakaway again, however only two will work. Formed after 18 kilometers, De Marchi (Cannondale) and Boom (Belkin) attacked and Movistar send Castoviejo in the break. A 5 ½ minute gap to the peloton was the maximum given by the peloton. Team Sky and Garmin took it upon themselves to bring pack the pack. Boom won the first intermediate sprint, while Castroviejo won the second.
the breakaway of today
skipping until the final kilometers
Going over the over the hill Boom and De Marchi have “seemingly” dropped Castroviejo while on the same piece of road, Daniel Martin, Urán and Daniel Moreno have attacked and the peloton switching into overdrive.
Boom and De Marchi putting distance between themselves and Castroviejo
Going into the final stretch the breakaway are almost caught by Urán and Martin, Moreno has a bigger gap to the leaders and is just infront of the peloton. However with only 1500 meters to go is the gap big enough for either group?.
the current situation in a picture
Boom got a little gap but while group Martin caught up with the breakaway, that gap was already closed by Castroviejo. Martin and Urán seems still to be able to go strong but has Castroviejo saved enough energy to beat them. De Marchi and Boom seem out of this.
with considerable daylight to the peloton seen in the background, victory seems secured for the breakaway
Castroviejo is still going strong and is looking to take the win,Daniel Martin and Urán don’t have enough to get passed them. Valverde and Rodriguez seem to battle eachother for the best of the rest title.
the breakaway vs the Peloton
Castroviejo wins in Mirador de Lobeira, Daniel Martin will get second and Urán takes third. Boom and De Marchi hold off the peloton.
Castroviejo celebrates as he wins Movistar’s second stage in a row
Rodriguez barely beats Valverde for 6th place, Sánchez takes 8th place making a double score for Belkin, Gadret also take a top 10 while Greg van Avermaet beats Fuglsang and a fading Moreno for 10th. Everybody after Rodriguez should have the same time.
the finish for 6th place
Daniel Martin and Urán win 35 seconds on Rodriguez and Valverde and 47 seconds on the rest, which moves Martin into 2nd place and Urán up to 4th. Horner is in the middle of the two. Rodriguez also gained time with moves him from 10th into 6th place in the GC. The rest is in the same order but in different places, Fuglsang (5th), Froome (7th), Majka (8th), Stetina (9th), Dennis (10th)
let’s just pretend that this is Castroviejo celebrating, screen faded out to quickly

Wow. Great Tactics helping us the chance to safe some energy, deserving the second stage win in a row and letting us dominate all important rankings
But the main point : I like that Valverde has already 2 minutes to his biggest rivals. Keep moving!

This could be a very, very boring race unless someone puts pressure on Movistar. Not really fair that Movistar win from a breakaway when most teams (including BMC) would do anything just to be in one.
Greg proving he's good enough for some success in a later hilly stage.

yeah, probobly the worse report all Vuelta. wasn't really paying attention and suddenly they were at the final. the second screenshots is literally the first moment I started paying attention again hasn't happend again so far as I've played.
little dissapointed that nobody has complemented me for getting the full result even despite the export fail (honestly though the stage results are not hard, GC results are a lot harder to do manually ) |

You could always save the replay next time.
Anyway, disappointed about the incapability of MTN to join the break, but Cio's 13th place gives me some sort of hope.
