I dont know what to say, I am stunned. When you boast a NBA-caliber front court with Varejao, Nene and Tiago Splitter (once again reminds me of how priceless Stephen A and First Take is) and Barbosa - although not in his prime - how can you lose to fucking Serbia, with all due respect? Oh well, looks like I have got a challenge now...
Never underestimate the land of basketball, even when we do not have great individuals.
France is leading against Spain on HT and Lauvergne is doing great. Really nice to see him playing on such a high level, especially because he used to play in ABA league for quite some time. Mate, what kind of bad luck is following you today? This is 2nd time you're failing to predict good and it's 2nd time an outsider is leading. Waiting for the challenge, though.

To be quite honest, I dont know shit outside the NBA and thus fatally underrating teams with no NBA players I guess. I feel like an American now. But anyhow, Serbia didn't just win against Brazil, they humiliated them. Even the most fanatic Serbia-fan wouldn't have seen that one coming, Im sure.
And yes, I just dont know. Spain is hands down the only team which will have a change against United States and if they get beat by France without Tony Parker on the home turf, then Im even more speechless. I mean, what is going on? Yeah, Batum is good, and yes, Diaw can ball even though he is fat as hell, but come on man. We are not talking about Tiago Splitter here, but all-star caliber players such as the Gasols and Ibaka. Come on man.
The amount of help that Spain gets from referees through whole tournament is just ludicrous. It's just pissing me off so much. I honestly hope they will lose now. Ridiculous.
I dont watch the game as I generally don't like FIBA Basketball (the officiating and the flow of the game is horrible compared to the NBA) and it isn't broadcasted in DK so I have to stream, but this seems like a good match tho. Especially since Spain are close to failing.
It's really tense. They even had a little fight few minutes ago. Spain's going with high pressure in 3rd Q and it's showing off as a great tactic so far, as they managed to bring back the lead. A great match.
Damn, I forgot about Evan Fournier. Also a former Nugget, I seriously love his game.
Edit: And Goubert. Not very skilled, but has a freakishly big body. I think he was a relatively high draft pick in 2012 or 2013 (maybe even lottery) for Utah. These guys can play, with or without Tony.

Goubert is having an impact on both end, I think he will have a bright future in the NBA. That wingspan and athleticism is kinda rare, he surely knows how to protect the basket.
Great match. I think you are rooting for France, right?
Edit: And I can't even spell his name correctly.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! This is just amazing. It's definitely going to be easier to reach the finals now and I actually believe we can do it. Also glad that Spain is out, that team is full of dirty pricks and they were getting way too much help from referees. This day could have not been any better.
Won't even comment France team. I am speechless. Those guys knows the game.

You and Avin were the ones that kept talking how both Greece and Brasil will trash us easily. We humiliated both of them, as you said. Now, I am not saying we'll win against USA, but I'd rather be quiet if I were you - miracles happen.
Did I say that? Damn, I dont remember that. Im just a Giannis-fanboy who likes to hype him as the next Durant. Speaking of Durant, how can't you lose this: https://dimemag.com/2014/08/kevin-dura...hen-curry/
Hahaha. I thought he was white..this yellow kid.

Wanted to drop in and say that I hope Serbia vs USA in final, that would be epic
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"
Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

I was not talking about TRAHING. Epic win for sertbia, very deserved, Teodosic is the real beast and i am aware of the power of European basketball, but Brazil was playing perfectly before that point. Happy to see Spain out,as i dont like both Gasols and Ibaka, only players i like are Rubio and Rudy (one of my favourite players)
Looking forward to todays semis, go USA! (basketball is probably only sport where i support them).

Apart from that, Rubio is a nice player. I usually dont spend much time watching Minny, but when I do, Rubio is the reason. Guy can't shoot, but he is fun to watch!
USA against Lithuania now. Motiejunas can be a solid big man in the league, while Valenciunas already is. He has to carry them now if they want a slight chance.
Yup, they got their ass kicked, even though many of USA's players ended up in foul trouble. Especially Steph Curry gotta do a better job not getting into that, but the refs are wildly inconsistent, so I really dont blame them. Thompson was hot once again and Kyrie put on a show on the 4. quarter, 2 players I really like. I hope Thompson can develop into a all-star this year, that would mean that GS have a real opportunity of winning out West.
France vs Serbia today. All I know about Serbia is from the US commentators who said that their PG is one of the best players in the world not playing in the NBA and is a beast in pick-and-rolls. I'll look forward to that. Another thing is if Gobert can replicate his performance against Spain, he was a pure beast.
