At least Vorganov managed to finish inside the top 10. I'm wondering why Kristoff didn't even try to sprint for a good position. Even Greipel and Kittel are up there and they get worse over hills.

Yeah, Kristoff disappointing (twice )
The first one didn't count, I ignored that, but then he managed to do even worse.

What's wrong with you Kristoff?
You would think SPR 79 should at least make it into the top 10.
Kristoff beaten by Chris Froome
That's not helping him finding the motivation to go for a good position in the next stages.
At least Al Mohney is not disappointing me, finishing in the peloton in both stages so far. |

Introducing the purple cap award, for the rider in yellow for the most stages.

Wake me up when BMC do something. It will probably be a crash or an 11th place finish. Yawn.
Oh, and what's up with Cofidis? They're riding like the control team

Inactive teams failing ....
Will be interesting to see how the TDF develops from here. Great to see so much EPIC action at the moment, after that long hiatus, with TDF, Austria and Qinghai coming soon.
Cycleman123- From about Stage 10 onwards could you post the results of the team classification?, RadioShack have big interest there. |

Le Tour de France
Another hilly stage today. Sagan and Valverde will look to avenge their anonymity yesterday, while the peloton will probably look to give the break less leeway. Simon Gerrans might even extend his lead.
The first attack comes from Vichot, Madrazo and Leukemans.
They all make the break, as well as Bouet, Cunego, Clarke and De Clerq.
Madrazo wins the first climb. Everyone except for Vichot, Cunego and Madrazo fade back into the peloton.
Vichot wins the sprint.
Soon after in the peloton, Greipel takes the 4th place sprint ahead of Kittel.
Thomas de Gendt makes a break and wins the final categorised climb, after Vichot then Cunego won the previous two.
De Gendt has made a bit of a gap. Meanwhile behind, Sagan and Horner have attacked.
With 7.5km to go there is a big attack. Gilbert leads it, and he is followed by Contador, Kwiatkowski, Sagan and Quintana. This looks big.
But defending the Yellow Jersey, dual South African National Champion Daryl Impey brings the favourites back. Simon Gerrans is there just in case he needs to get out and chase.
Michele Scarponi goes on the attack with 4km left to go. He might get away, or he might just catch his own teammate Cunego. De Gent is up front alone with 1'35. A repeat of yesterday looms.
The sprint is very disorganised due to all the attacks. As predicted, Scarponi catches his own teammate.
No matter what happens behind, no-one can deny Thomas de Gendt. A great victory.
Peter Sagan takes 2nd place, while Simon Gerrans finishes 3rd, meaning that Orica-GreenEDGE have been on the podium (funnily enough, on each different place) on each stage.

I guessed that you knew it. Now he is Moldovian in the report though.

Good to see such a nice pace
And with Slagter and Mollema, I was hoping for a few points on the hilly stages..
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

You're going to get in serious trouble with your control team.
Meh, fourth is good but not great. Good to see Schär making a good, but surprising, early run for the Lanterne Rouge.
TTT next.

Great action there, so early on in the TDF as well. Horner showing well, he has been underestimated in many people's opinions for this TDF, which is bewildering because, looking at the stats, he is arguably better than Contador.
Thanks for the team classifications aswell, but we probably don't need them until after stage 10.

Yes, you are. Unless you intentionally missed some guys off the stage results, I reckon that the control team lost 6/7 riders on that stage.
You should make at least one copy of the database after every stage, and consider upping the stats of the control team riders (everything around 70). |

They have been all edited back into the race. No worries, I have it under control
EDIT: Get it, control?
