Well.
As mentioned earlier, Belkin still has a 1,5 million budget left for next year(due to saving some budget earlier), so they might get PCT.
Well, De Rijke says that there's a 70-80% chance that they'll be PCT next year, too.
(Dutch source: https://www.wieler...gaat.html)
Well, that got me thinking, with Orange Cycling possibly taking place as well, there is now the possibility of 3 Dutch PCT teams next year, if I'm not mistaken

Is there a still a chance that they find a new sponsor and keep the PT spot?

Nice nice, good for german cycling and probably cycling overall, to have a (big) german company back in the sport. Though it's unfortunate that they don't consider to get into World Tour but alas, that might change if they get some big names on their squad.
As far as I know, that is still undecided. The team manager has announced multiple times that it's his aim to get them to World Tour, and while it's not decided when, I don't think he ruled it out that they could apply for a license this year already.
Just to think of it ... Tony Martin's contract is running out, him on a German World Tour team next year ... That would be so great

Yeah, still a chance. I think they said that 1 August is their deadline(when the official transfer season starts, I believe?)

Weird that riders still dope, don't they know the risks? At least they are getting caught now (well at least more than usual), and we can see a somewhat more realistic style of racing. Never going to be perfect though.
I can tell you a team that does it 'legally' without being bothered by the UCI. |

Even better then, guess I misremembered an article then.

Yeah, I know about that. But ultimatums (it's more an ultimatum than a deadline ) are never good.
I just thought you had more "inside" information than me.

3 dutch PCT teams with all 3 having a dominant dutch culture (Orange Cycling-100% dutch, De Rijke currently 92%, Belkin 69% dutch)
what could possibly go wrong

In the Österreich-Rundfahrt, Team Gourmetfein - Simplon had their bikes stolen (16 in total).
Trek, Katusha and Cofidis showed their good side by letting them use spare bikes, which means Patrick Konrad can defend his good GC position.

More than those teams actually. Sky, Cannondale, Amplatz, Astana, Tinkoff-Saxo as well.
After sending a text message to all managers, it took 16min to get 30 bikes. |
