Meh Kwiat might be a beast.. but at his age Thomas Dekker had already won 2 WT stage races

So just saying, you never know how a career will go Pfft

You know there was tonnes of cheating back then too right? Just it wasn't really considered a problem. Even Merckx got caught, but no one remembers that...

People remember that, its's that the drugs they were using were alot different from today. Amphetamines were less of as performance enhancer than say EPO, not excusing Merckx but just saying that he was still a supreme athlete.

Ehm, nice that somebody is drawing comparsions, but does Kwiatkowski won a major thing? Algarve and Strade Bianche are his biggest wins, while Merckx or even Sagan had like 50victories in that age, including much bigger wins. Kwiatek has 7 professional victories, 7!

But i admire him very much and i can see him becoming very strong rider and monument winner (LBL most likely).

I guess nobody expected that post. :lol:Rolling Eyes

Kubys, you should get rid of that fixation on my posts about Sagan, i can recommend you good psychologist in Czech republic if you want. Pfft

And that post was mainly about Kwiatek -Merckx comparsion, Sagan was only there, because he was last that was widely discussed and compared to Eddie here on the forum around 2011-2012, when he was starting to become awesome, before you joined the forum.Wink

Sorry that i think comparsion to Merckx with winner of Tour of Algarve is silly...

I'm not fixed on your posts about Sagan, maybe the main problem is, that you mention him in almost every of them. Smile

Don't worry this will be his 1st one Pfft

I've dared to say that we're watching new Merckx, but of course I didn't say that Kwiatek's current results are near the results Eddy used to have. I just hope he'll develop that much to become a new Merckx, or at least a Merckx type of rider.

And you don't have to win many races to show how good you are. Kwiat is probably one of biggest all-arounders riders in the peloton as he's able to score on absolutely any profile (Le Tour, Ardennes, Time Trials, Sprints, Cobbles). At the end, it was more that I hope he'll become new Mecrkx than it's likely to happen. Wink

I dare to notice that Kwiato and Sagan had some very direct rivalries (sportwise as far as I undserstand) in their junior years. So comparing them is kind of a must.

I voted no because Kwiatkowski is there, and he nailed the first stage. I'm liking that lad nao so yes, a no for team sky in this race. I might be wrong because Froome's MO stat in PCMDaily is 83Pfft, and he's a beast in real life. lolz
