Meersman won`t start today. Might be angry about his time loss. Not sure if he got injured as well?
Boeckmanns also abandons with a mild concussion.
He's injured (elbow and forearm I read), which is why he did not start, although I had the same idea as you when I read he didn't start.

Alright, who went and PCM13'ed the sprint? 3.4 kilometres to go and Europcar's Perigg Quemeneur is still 15" ahead of the peloton. Shouldn't much last longer you would think given Giant - Shimano just came to the front.

Stage 3, with Matthew Goss behind in second it seems. Rojas looks to have got either a podium or fourth .

Degenkolb by a mile but not only was Rojas 3rd but he was making ground quickly on Goss (granted that means less these days but still )

It has now been a year since Goss won a road stage. What happened to him?

Have been wondering that myself for the last year+ :/
Have mentioned before that a few voices have questioned commitment but he clearly had it and now...

Basically Goss won Milan San Remo in 2011 then 1 win per season since.

God only knows, perhaps he should go back to being part of lead-out train if things continue. Rojas would have taken second if he could have gone a bit earlier, or if the line was a few more metres further away.
Pressure is already on with the number of different sprinters in the team as a whole and at Paris Nice. Given "Bling" Matthews can climb arguably just as well, if not better, hard to find a specialty for Goss if he needs a more difficult parcours.

Tomorrow will be very tough. I guess even too tough for Degenkolb, Bouhanni etc.
This is the last climb not far from the finish.
Will be interesting to see who attacks there. If Costa, Betancur, Nibali etc. attack, I doubt that Thomas, Gallopin, Stybar will be able to follow.

Apparently the max 25% is flattering but it certainly has steep sections and the irregularity of the climb will see most off.

Degenkolb made that look too easy

I'm guessing you've read The Inner Ring's preview? Great article (as usual) if anyone would like to read it: https://inrng.com/2014/03/roads-to-rid...more-18844
Betancur going full gas at the start of the steepest section would be fun

That was Meersman's place.
