Not a great start, but the flat isn't Sky's best terrain. |

Sorry there has been no update recently as i have been changes some of the 2013 stages to one that are like the 2014 stages for example stage 5 of the Tour de france has cobbles on it so i changed the Rutland Melton Classic to stage five which is pretty much similar as it has about 15km of Cobbles and is mainly flat. I have done this for all the stages with race profiles.

03/02-08/02 Tour of Qatar
Our riders
B.Eisel
C.Knees
D.Pate
G.Rasch
L.Rowe
I.Stannard
C.Sutton
E.B.Hagen
Startlist:
Favourites
Sprint and GC:
Mark Cavendish (Omega Pharma Quick Step)
Marcell Kittel (Giant Shimano)
Edvald Boasson Hagen (Team Sky)
Daniele Bennati (Tinkoff-Saxo)
Tyler Farrar (Garmin)
Game Plan:
Sprinter Wise we have Boasson Hagen and Sutton but it is Hagen's first race so we will get Hagen to maybe lead out Sutton if he is up for it if not someone else like Ian Stannard or Chris Knees will lead out Sutton. With a TT on the 3rd stage we will be looking to get one of our TT'ist up at the front of the race and attack trying to gain seconds on the sprinters. We will probably try other tactics like trying to get TT'ist a breakaway win so that he has a few seconds over other riders |

Strong team for Qatar, you will definately have a chance of victory,
BTW your third stage says de Panne - de Panne, that's in Belgium |

Why not Sutton lead out EBH?
Disclaimer- Most of my posts are me thinking aloud. And most of what I think is rubbish.

YvesStevens - i put in one of the last posts that i changed a few of the stages so that they are similar to 2014 stages, and that is the only one i could find that was similar. I know it is in Belgium but there was no races in Qatar or Asia with a TT.
weirdskyfan64 Because Hagen has no fitness, and Sutton does. |

Sutty - Well hopefully Chris Sutton, But Thanks.
Top 10 in Qatar.
The beginning of the Tour of Qatar began with a 4 man breakaway which got up to only 2 minutes. At the front of the peloton Edvald Boasson Hagen and then Gabriel Rasch were sharing duties with other teams like omega Pharma, Giant Shimano and Tinkoff Saxo. The first sprint would go to the breakaway and it went to Merhawi Kudus who would take 3 bonus seconds. with Gabriel Rasch doing a lot of work at the front The breakaway had been brung in with 5km to the last Intermediate sprint, So it was up to the peloton and Chris Sutton won it. At the 5km banner everything was still together, except from a few riders dropping out of the back like Gabriel Rasch. At the 1km banner Daniele Bennati was ahead of the field and it was looking promising for him. Marcel Kittel took it on the line from Daniele Bennati. Pre-race favourite Mark Cavendish came 6th just ahead of old team mate Chris Sutton. Edvald Boasson Hagen came in 10th which was a great effort to say it was his first race in 2014, The rest of the Sky riders came in the main group except Rasch.

YvesStevens - Is that good or bad for Farrar, It was a great effort from him not being one of the best sprinters on the tour.
Matthew21rp - Hope so. |

I mean in real life Farrar hasn't shown alot since 2011 where he was so good. So that's why... |

Double for Sky.
The second day of Qatar began with a 3 man breakaway. Both Gabriel Rasch and Danny Pate both went to the front to share duties to make sure the breakaway didn't get to far, They only got up to 3 minutes but managed t stay out until 20km taking both sprints. The first sprint was won by Nico Eechkout and the 2nd was won by Jaco Venter. With 10km to go things weren't looking good for Sky as there train was about halfway down the shortened 60 man peleton, But improved with Luke Rowe peeling of the front and Powerhouse Bernhard Eisel dragged the train up to the front of the peloton. And at the 1km banner the whole train was ahead of the peloton with Sutton looking promising for victory. SUTTON AND HAGEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 2 on the line ahead of the peloton with beating old team-mate Mark Cavendish, That would have been sweat. Bernhard Eisel and Ian Stannard also came in the the top 10 coming 7th and 8th. Luke Rowe and Gabriel Rasch were the only team to drop time on the peloton. Things were looking good for Stannard and Kness with the TT tomorrow only being 13 seconds down
