I would love to have an National Champion in my team next season. Though I think that our biggest bet might be Venezuela. |

Cuba is probably a good bet as well - Mojica is the best time-trialist in terms of stats. Should be a good battle between Martinez and him. |

Yeah, didn't remember him. Still, aidanvn will have work to do if we win something in the NC's. |

Well that was quite a disastrous Austrian championship! Oh well, no fancy jerseys for us next year!

As for today's final report: it's a clear "win" for South Africa!
EDIT: And "sorry" for the rather short TT-report Had a few more NCs to report and kept it short where the favorite was to clear anyway.

Fantastic win for Hoffman, you have to feel he deserves it after this season.

Thanks Tsmoha!
No title for us, but van Rensburg and Hoffman are high up on my transfer lists! It will be interesting to see if they'll be sporting my colours next season Congrats to Avin

@ tsmoha: No need really to put too much more into the TTs in my opinion unless there is a closer battle.
Decent race in South Africa though - about as good as you are going to get with a small field. Conditioned already to expect either a breakaway or a mid race bridging move to be the key to most of these.
Fantastic to have nabbed a national jersey - will look for a nice design from Oleg I think. Though may possibly wait until renewels and following transfers. Sulzberger could be up for grabs.

Had hoped for Van Heerden to show himself a bit more here. But on a hilly route it wasn`t really looking well and if not attacking, you won`t have a chance.
Goodbye Mr. Van Heerden and thanks for some nice results and leadouts you delivered. |

Interesting races so far.
Without a mountainious Swiss race, our only chances would be a flat Italy course, a hilly Belgium course where VDB is in a successful mid-race break or Shishelov being the only attacker in Kazakhstan...

I could expect nothing in Australia, race results are quite expected for me.
Otherwise I think, I have quite big chances for a good result
Colombia - Uran is a big favourite for TT, flat race - Forero biggest favourite, mountain race - Henao-Uran combo big favourites... I really hope for 2 jerseys there
Czech Republic - Kreuziger vs Danacik in TT so maybe I will have to make a strong pust in off-season to have that jersey in my team in the next season, and in RR I should have a really big man advantage above other teams, hopefully AI of my team will control the race.
France - Coppel should win, in RR I expect nothing.
Kazakhstan - Hopefully Y-Nepo can beat Grudzev and Kashechkin in TT, it will be close race. In RR it will be quite a lottery, i don't expect my Nepo bros can take it, they are both too strong to go into a breakaway.
New Zealand - Sergent vs Bauer in TT, Bewley vs anybody else in RR? Would be a fantastic scenario I hope for, hopefully my team in RR will control it for Bewley...
Slovakia - In TT, nobody can beat Peter Velits. In RR it will probably be a big lottery, anything can happen with PCM12 AI.
So in total, 4 jerseys from TTs and 3 RR jerseys would be really nice outcome of NCs. Big thanks to reporters in advance.

So, Israel and Mongolia TT are must win. France RR could be for Sonnery if slightly hilly, Serpa will be up there in Colombia and we have a good chance in the Mongolian RR. Probably wishful thinking |

I asked SN when I was asked to split my Belgian squad into 2 teams and he said that the Belgian course is hilly.

Good racing in South Africa, and a truly deserved win by Hoffman. Nice to see Augustyn trying, but admittedly he wasn't strong enough. Congrats Avin!
Really looking forward to the Norwegian championship. With no Boasson Hagen, it really is a wide open race, and hopefully there won't be a breakaway of two or three running away with the win. |

Yes!
Nolan doing what he knows best - winning.
Thanks for the congrats boys, this was really an icing on the 2013 season cake for our human rocket. I hope MTN or whoever has very big bag of money ready.
As the immediate reaction, we are proud to bring you first words of South African national champion.
Q: Hi Nolan, that was some kind of a race there, i see you are still breathing hard. What are you first impressions?
NH: Hey man, the race was intense and hard, but in the end it came to who is the best rider in this country and i think that is clear now. Some say that nationals are dull races, but i think we had some real showing today of how beautiful and great cycling can be .
Q: What was your thoughts when Augustyn attacked? We saw your immediate response, did you consider him as the biggest opponent?
NH: Yeah, John-Lee created the race there and i rated him as the man to watch before the start. His side just came in with top10 in PT and he is important part of that roster. But i was confident that i will beat him and others in the sprint, so i had to respond there.
Q: After HC Tour of South Africa, this is your second big win in your home country, does it give you the special motivation?
NH: Absolutely, i love the home crowd and i want to thank them, aswell my team Metinvest-Emirates, who brought me from dust of free agency and had confidence in me. Now here i am, one of the best in PCT and national champion.
Q: That bring me to question about your future, thing that is largely discussed in the press. Were you thinking about it and your options?
NH: Of course i was. Thing is, that i am probably too big for PCT. I would advice PT managers to look more closely on an option of bringing me to their squad. Dont get me wrong, i am happy at Metinvest and for chance they gave me, but i am not riding for peanuts and lets see what cards will be on the table...
Q: Okay, last question. What is your view on MTN team, the new player on African cycling field?
NH: These boys are doing the great job to develop sport we love in hard conditions of African continent, especially here in South Africa. That deserves a lot of support and i dont exclude talks about future cooperation, same with pioneers of African cycling, Jaguar-Eritel team or Kenya - Barclays project.
