@the_hoyle: we are going to start in PCT because we didn't get a WT because the UCI refused to give us World Tour access, they said we need to prove that we deserve it.
@Atlantius: Promotion is absolutely our primary target, that's what our GM already said at the press conference. Regarding wildcard application, there will be a special event at some place in the future, so stay tuned.
@everybody: thanks for your support so far. Is my pace ok? Sorry that I ask that so often but I'm eager to learn

Pace is good. Maybe before the season starts you can post quicker because you don't actually have to do anything (I assume) to get the riders now that you've started the save (probably) . Just a suggestion

A Triple for Coldfire
Today, Coldfire Professional Cycling has added three very interesting riders to their squad.
Thomas Lövkvist (Sweden) joins from the British team Sky. He is an expert for one-week races and he is the Swedish national champion of 2006.
Daniel Oss (Italy) spent the last year at BMC after moving from Liquigas. Daniel is a versatile and powerful sprinter who also loves racing on cobbled roads.
Young talent Jason Lee (USA) is only at the dawn of his career. Team Coldfire is his first professional team after riding independently in US races this year. He brought home some good results that drew the attention of several professional teams. We are very happy that he decided to come over to Europe instead of preferring an America-based team!
Coldfire: “It’s a great day today because we were able to sign two riders who are able to help us immediately in different races and situations, as well as an exciting young talent who we want to form to become a great rider in the next years. We all must be patient with him but I’m sure it will be worth it.”

@Cycleman: thanks! I don't even know Jason Lee's overall yet, I'm curious how he will do. Same thing with another young talent that we are negotiating with at the moment
@Atlantius: He won't be the only Scandinavian rider on the team

Great jersey, I really like it. Also some very nice signings. Linus Gerdeman, Oss, Voigt - some real great riders. Schleck bros are obviously quite huge for publicitiy, not sure if they will perform on their previous level or their current one, hm.

I guess the jersey will look good in the peleton, can't wait to get the first screenshots
Congrats to Admireschelck
As for the signing a complete and well balanced team that will certainly offer good races with some suspense.
Might lack a bit of German for a German team though. More young German riders to come in?

@Shonak - I'm curious too how well they are going to perform.
@duxili - thanks! And yes, a few more Germans will probably join the team, but overall our team will be a mixture of many different nationalities.
@Matthew - glad you like the team so far!

Team Coldfire signs former German champion!
Germany’s 2011 national champion, Robert Wagner, has been given a spot on Team Coldfire. That was reported today after Coldfire and Rabobank, Wagner’s current team, finished negotiations and agreed to the transfer.
Coldfire: “We want Robert to be our leader in the sprints. Even though he is going through a tough season at the moment we are convinced that he will bounce back next year. We are now working on finding the perfect lead-out man for him, but that will take some time because there are several suitable candidates.” |
