nice to know that you have confidence in me to get a good result in Suisse. don't worry to much about me not trusting the team management (as I did make a schedule for myself) but I heard from my brothers that the UCI advised them to make their own schedule so I made my own just to be on the safe side. I'm already looking forward to Suisse and Belquim

I've made the full shedule even counted the race days (database work is far over). Finally I can follow my guys and I'm feeling confident that the guys will take their first wins.

Finally we have somebody to be proud of, his name: Amets Txurruka. He attacked in stage 1,6. In the sixth stage he took 23 mountain points, at the moment he's leading with 38 points, so this could be a first victory. I hope the other riders take an example from him.
Greetings Krisa

Well, I still have no idea why you send your team to all the cobbles racds. Caja Rural belongs in the mountains!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Nicky's blog
Disappointment...
I was told I would be racing De Brabantse Pijl, but then a few days before I'm told i'm not on the startlist entered? I'm the best cobbler in the squad and the management only send 6 riders!? I don't get this unless you are trying to drive me out the team in which you have done that now.

Back from the dead and showing strength in Belgium
I was given the lead role for Caja Rural in Belgium after the management shockingly left me out the De Brabantse Pijl. I think I did the role justice. I finished a solid 22nd overall to a deserving winner in Edvald 1'31" in front of me. I finished 5th in the U25 classification so at least people might have noticed me.
I was happy with many aspects of my ability, obviously I'm a cobbler by trade but I'm no Sep Vanmarcke. I feel that my hill climbing ability and my TT giving myself another dimension. Stage 5 was tricky and most were expecting a Gilbert stage win, in the end the breakaway won the stage, I finished in a reduce bunch with the GC contenders. So I happy with what i have produced and hope I can keep it up!
Now I have a short distance to Tour de Luxembourg, when we finish there will be another blog.

Furan in Belgium
Everybody's favourite Ukrainian rider was in action in the Tour of Belgium. I was desperate to get a win, or help one of my team mates to win. Unfortunately I didn't have a great time. On the flat stages, it was pretty disappointing, the team couldn't really put a train together, so I was just on my own. Into the hills, and I couldn't get any sort of good result.
I came around the 20s on most stages, and my team mates couldn't do much better. Over all I am pretty disappointed with myself and hope to do much better next time. |

Who says Caja Rural can't win. This time our team won a small Basque race but we only started with four guys. Txurruka went on the attack from the first kilometers and the pack only saw him back on the podium.

Interview with the past: Michal Kwiatowski
Some four years ago a polish youngster signed with our team, Caja Rural. Nowadays Michal is one of the biggest talent of his generation. After winning the prologue in West-Flanders and driving well we may say that we have developed one of the bigget talents.
Me: Hey Michal, How are you
Michal: I really feel well, it's pretty nice to meet you again.
Me: First things first, how was your time with Caja Rural four years ago
Michal: It was a lovely time. I got a nice season and I made a great time in spain
Part two follows soon...
