Seems like Contador is more interested in the green and mountain jersey than the yellow one |

@ Selwink: Agree, especially since it looks like this gap is bigger as in stage 2.
@ sutty68 & Ian Butler: Agreed!
@ mvhoogdalem: Apparently
Stage 5, 6 and 7 will be posted tomorrow in one report. They are just flat, boring stages ending in sprints.

@ Selwink & Cycleman123: I don't know why Chris got the same time. The 'gap box' in the right corner gave some differences, but in the results he got the same time.
@ Ian Butler: This evening!

STAGE 8
PRE-RACE
Alberto: I'm on fire! I will win again today!
Chris: Contador must be really exhausted now. He can't possibly win today.
199km to go
Today is the hardest stage yet. A steep, uphill finish at La Planche des Belles Filles. You can see the fear in the local cyclist's eyes. He hopes he can finish within the time-limit.
51km to go
Suprises in the first part? No! No attacks and Alberto Contador wins the intermediate sprint and both mountain sprints. In the background we can see the local cyclist still managing to keep the distance minimal.
12km to go
We are very close to the final climb, and Alberto attacks! The Spaniard wants to take over the yellow jersey! Froome doesn't respond, he lets him go!
5000m to go
Halfway up the climb, the gap between green and yellow is 30 seconds, which means Froome will lose his jersey if things stay as they are. This is exciting ladies and gentlemen!
1000m to go
1km left. Contador is still 30 seconds in front of Froome. He's losing his jersey. He has to do something!
0m to go
Alberto Contador wins at La Planche des Belles Filles! Victory 4 days in a row, that's amazing!. The clock is ticking for Chris.
Chris Froome crosses the line... 25 seconds behind Contador. He keeps his jersey, but the gap is just 4 seconds now. A few turns behind we can see the local cyclist. Luckily, he arrived in time, so he may start again tomorrow!

@ Schleck96 & jseadog1: Thanks!
@ Schleck96, Selwink & Jesleyh: Close indeed. Contador was virtually in yellow, but he missed it because he celebrated to early
@ mvhoogdalem: I hope so!
@ welker3257: If he finds some power to ride away from them!

STAGE 9
PRE-RACE
Alberto: I'm on fire! I will win again today and take over the yellow jersey!
Chris: Contador is tired. I will attack and win!
154km to go
A hilly stage brings the 3 riders to Switzerland today. A lot of climbing today, so expect some attacks! As a reward for his performances yesterday, the local cyclist may wear the polka dot jersey!
33km to go
First mountain sprint: Alberto Contador. Second mountain sprint: Alberto Contador. Third mountain sprint: Alberto Contador. Fourth mountain sprint: Alberto Contador. Intermediate sprint: Alberto Contador. Chris Froome doesn't care about them. His priority today is to keep his yellow jersey.
17km to go
Fifth mountain sprint: Chris Froome. Suprising, isn't it?. And on the final hill of today, he attacks! However, Contador can follow him.
16km to go
The Spainard caught up with the Brit, and he continues! Alberto Contador attacks close to the last mountain sprint!
15km to go
But he can't get rid of Froome. The yellow jersey grabs the final mountain points of today. The only thing which is seperating the riders between them and the finish line in Porrentruy is a downhill.
5000m to go
Chris Froome takes charge in the downhill and heads into the final 5 kilometers.
1000m to go
Only 1 km to go in the rain. Can Alberto Contador come out of Chris Froome's wheel?
0m to go
Yes he can! Alberto Contador takes 5 stages in a row! Chris Froome did not learn anything at the last few stages. The Spaniard is to smart for him!
