My Tour de France 2013: Andy Schleck | End of the Line
Malkael
Edited attributes or not, it is going to be interesting to see if Andy can keep up with the likes of Contador, Froome, and Rodriguez. I was thinking of doing something similar since Le Tour is seemingly the most stable stage race to play in the game, but looks like I'll be following this instead.

Allez Andy! Wink

Feel free to do a similar thing, though, I wouldn't want to stand in your way Wink
Glad to have you on board, though!

Watching Belgian NC now, will do next stage right after!

Damn you Ian, when I saw you had posted I thought another stage might be up. Great tour so far, might need a repeat of the 60km attack to gain time back on Contador and Froome though.

Did not expect you to return with another story so soon, Ian. Even though this seems to belong more in the "mini-story" category. Wink

I think shleck should look at the 2010 win with honor. He would have won it right there and then if it wasn't for Alberto Contador's unfairness.

What about the fact that Andy gained far more time on Contador earlier, when Frank crashed on the cobbles and hindered almost the entire peloton - except for a small group including Andy and Cancellara.

Do you suggest that Frank crashed and broke collarbone intenionally to help Andy? Wink

Geezar10 - The mountains will bring us more wisdom Wink

Pelli - Well, I don't really see it as s "story". Well, a short-story, maybe. Pfft

JoshK - Thanks a lot for these words!

welker3257 - Hehe, thanks Pfft

About the Andy-discussion. If it's not related to this story, you should have it elsewhere, thanks Wink

That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Stage 5 :: Cagnes sur Mer - Marseille

Everyone expects a mass sprint, but the hills might say something else...

The Race

As tradition dictates, we had a morning breakaway. They were El Fares, Roy, Moser and Horner.

i1300.photobucket.com/albums/ag96/JeanRemy1/tdf503_zps9b96f8dc.jpg

The sprinters haven't had a real chance yet so they were keen on this stage. The pace was high all day long! I must admit I had some problems at some times!

i1300.photobucket.com/albums/ag96/JeanRemy1/tdf502_zps73fcfac6.jpg

It was also a day of crashes. Valverde, Rodriguez... They all continued without losing time, though.

And then Tony Martin decided it was time for the ManxMissile to win his first stage!

i1300.photobucket.com/albums/ag96/JeanRemy1/tdf506_zpsa3eee283.jpg

And, yes, he delivered! I finished within the same time. Another day over and still in the running. I can't wait for the mountains.
