Today we had a practice 180km race in Alaska, where they hold a race later in the year. We raced with these teams:
Early in the race the worst team in the league, Mobistar, must have felt like they had something to prove, so they sent out there group to the front.
Sunkist was content riding right in the middle of the main group.
Here is an overhead shot of the race:
The race was pretty much a joke, let me be honest with you. A race this early in the season just proves who was working hard over the winter, and the peleton obviously didn't care what the breakaway did, because it was just like a normal ride. With that being said, 2 riders broke away and stayed away, until I had enough, and I told Tommy Griffin of Sunkist to go.
After Griffin set out, he took about 50km, but he did catch the break, who was now 21 minutes ahead of the peleton.
Towards the end of the race, they pulled away from Griffin, we had not much more rest than the other two had being ahead so long, and they sprinted it out amongst themselves to the end.
Well guess, what when all the mini breakaways settled, the peleton had their chance to sprint to the finish, and Roosevelt Grant showed why he belongs, as he demolished the field in the sprint.

Make sure Passive AI is turned off, and that you don't play on Easy.

Hey guys, our bus just pulled in to New Orleans, I am BEYOND excited to finally get this season underway. I do have a bit of shame news though.. Roosevelt Grant, our best guy, will be sitting out the season opener will the flu. He just came down with it 2 days ago, and is not quite ready for this race.
The place is beautiful, the parties are in full swing, this is supposedly one of the Top 5 races of the year!! All the teams are here for the season opener, but we don't know if they brought there best, but we are pretty sure they did.
Anyway, I gotta check my email soon for the race route and map, so I will definitely post that tomorrow! We are here to celebrate the season opener for a few days before we kick off the cycling! 3 months ago I never would have seen myself in this position, but now that I am here, I couldn't be more excited!
