Well we came with no major aspirations for the Down Under Classic, so for G to grab a podium is actually a great result

TOUR OF LUXEMBOURG
Stage 1
Stage 2
Stage 3
The classics guys are out in action for these three days as they look to gain form for the Spring Classics.
Bob Jungels (Bianchi) is in his home race and has the ability and motivation to take the overall victory. However, it is a testement to the ability of Gert Dockx (Ridley) that the race organisers have handed him the #1 Bib rather than the home favourite. Dockx may be more suited to the undulating, punchy route than Jungels, or Unicef's Taylor Phinney.
If early-season fitness is an issue for the aforementioned favourites, then I would pick out Mikhail Ignatiev (Gazprom) and Rui Costa (Benfica) as dark horses for this race.

Go Jungels, do it in your home race!
Spoiler Though I'm unsure of his hilly abilities. He's a type Vansummeren, but in some DBs, Vansummeren is rated high hills, and in some low

TOUR OF LUXEMBOURG
Stage 1
A short prologue, but, given the steep incline towards the finish, it is likely to be a day for those with the most power rather than the best technique.
Trentino (Ferrari) sets the first impressive time at 6'54".
But Santander's leader, Vernon Cervantes, soon betters that by 3 seconds.
Ignaitev (Gazprom) can't beat that and settles for the same time as Trentino.
Head down, teeth gritted, Bob Jungels (Bianchi) sets off en route to the new best time, besting Cervantes by 7 seconds.
Shortly afterwards, Dockx (Ridley) is on the road. And, wow, it's a great performance! He beats Jungels for 7 more seconds, at 6'37". It's still early days, but that time is unlikely to be topped.
Rui Costa (Benfica) has a solid, if unspectacular ride, 21 seconds back to Dockx.
Geraint Thomas is BBC's main hope in this race, following his podium in Australia. He's 29 seconds back on Dockx today though.
Andy Schleck's time trialing still leaves much to be desired in 2020. Still, he uses the incline to his advantage, but it's still 31 seconds back on Dockx for the Sodexo leader.
The only man capable of topping Dockx's time now is surely Taylor Phinney (Unicef). And... It's a strong ride but it's still 4 seconds short of Dockx.

TOUR OF LUXEMBOURG
Stage 2
The outcome of this stage is uncertain. With no strong sprinters in the field, it's unlikely a big group will work to meet the finish line together. That said, the final portion of the race may not favour a solo effort either.
I'll fix the interesting display of undergarments for the next race
It's a rainy day today, and at the first KOM Le Montagner makes a small move away from the peloton. But, the group is still shaping up after the neutralised zone.
Shortly after, U25 leader Yeneko Salgado (Santander) attacks. The motorbikes are a bit slow in clearing the path for the riders looking to follow his move.
Ok, this looks like the succesful break now: Salgado is joined by Messerli (Commerzbank), Reyes (Caixa), Silva (Benfica), De Vroom (Eneco), Romily (Eurosport) and Taaramae (Logitech).
But the break isn't strong enough to hold a big lead, and with 60km to go, a new attack is launched by Gazprom's Pyotr Maximov with Jespersen (Alka) on his wheel.
Soon, everyone wants a piece of the action. Amongst them is Sodexo's Dominik Fischer, looking to impress in his home race.
Up ahead, it looks like Salgado has done enough to lead the KOM competition at the end of the day. Clearly the U25 jersey simply wasn't up to his standards.
30km to go, and this is the situation: Fischer has just caught and passed the original break. Maximov and Jespersen are about to do the same, but the peloton is limiting their advantage to about 1 minute.
Atop the penultimate climb, the peloton brings things back together, except Fischer who remains in front. There's sure to be more late attacks though.
Fischer crosses the final climb alone. He has 13km of flat to protect a lead of 1'47"!
Fischer's team-mate Andy Schleck covers an attack from Geraint Thomas (BBC) over the final climb. But, it's all up to Thomas to chase since Fischer is not only Schleck's team-mate and his compatriot, but he also acts as a personal mentor to Fischer in the team.
But, the 25-year old Fischer will defy the odds to take a memorable and unexpected win on home soil!
Behind, Thomas picks up what is already his second podium of the season, ahead of Schleck, who joins his self-confessed protégé in making a Sodexo & Luxembourg 1-3.
Matty Munniik (Eneco) leads the 27-man peloton in behind. As seen on the far right, Gert Dockx will have to relinquish his leader's jersey to Fischer, but he knows he stands a good chance of reclaiming it in tomorrow's more difficult stage.
