Wow, I just re-read my post above and I'm dangerously optimistic about PCM13 |

Yeah, I do my man-game reports while racing the stage by minimizing the screen. Makes it easy to do all the min-jersey and get the rider's name right at the same time. Although for story making I think writing the report right after the stage is best that way everything is fresh in your head and there is no need to remember all the riders that attack, just the key ones.
I always write in word as the race happens, so I don't have to write everything from memory. Otherwise I'd forget who was in the break, and can mention the distance to the finish. Never tried it another way |

Well, I just wrote the introduction to next story and I have to say I'm incredibly excited, more so than for any other story I ever wrote. So delaying the start will be impossible
I realize it's silly starting a story even before the game releases, but I will surely buy it on the day of release, I have summer break, I'm 100% motivated, so I don't think much can go wrong (except something technical, but you can't think about that, and that could happen anytime anyway...)
So I think I'll start the story tomorrow |

It's not silly if you know what you are doing.

Well, your story actually was the deciding factor for me. You prove you can start before the story with the intros etc, just no 2013 racing yet. So thanks
By the way, it's going amazing, did you already write a whole season in advance, or just the storyline? |

I started with a basic concept that I knew I could fit into a 13 episode season. So, I wrote the first 4 episodes before starting. And now I'm trying to have at least 3 episodes written ahead of what is posted. That way your comments won't influence what I have working as a story line in my head. So, currently I have started to write some things down for season 2 already.

Good system. I usually don't write a lot in advance, but I know what I'm going to say (know what I mean). But I got bored now so I started writing the intro and it's finished already, so moving on to other reports already. I never worked this way before, but I like it, gives me time to write and read it again later, change some things before they're on the site! |

Yeah I found that very beneficial so far to reread what I wrote a few days ago that way you can change anything that doesn't make sense or even make it better. It's been really helpful for my story.

Might start a one rider story after finishing my 3GTs with 6 riders, but it could also be a team story or something else.
BTW: is it a good idea to make this thread sticky?

I honestly don't know, will have to see what's possible.
Just went straight to this, don't know if this got answered yet but here it is.
You need a PVR hooked up to the x-box and a computer, it's way more work then with capturing footage of a computer.

Huh,,thinking about my next story whole night, and can't actually think of anything innovative,so started thinking about some team story. I am not sure in my 1rider story skills, but i decided, if i take that "risk" to try it out,it will be with Moreno Moser definitely.
About team story, still not sure about Adria (continuing in 2014 with much more stuff) or to start with a weaker custom team (such as Standard Bank from FroomeDog99 or something like that). Still , I have time to think about that until Expansion pack comes out.

How do you guys export your stage results to the forum with flags and all?
Do you do it all manually or do you guys have an excel macro that does it for you?
For my 2012 IAM story I made a macro that would do the entire job for me. Unfortunately I think I deleted that file... |

You have to add the flags manually when writing the reports.

I made several VBA macros that will do the job for me. |

On PCM Focus they have this interesting difference between "story" and "career". I wonder if PCM Daily would be open for that as well. I'm not really interested in a story right now, but I'd like to report a bit about the career I'm doing. We have the General Career Discussion Thread for that, but I wonder if it would work on this site to do a career "story".
On PCM Focus, those are a bit like stories but short reports (not really individual races, only monuments if you want or a GT), but a report can easily be about a whole month or even season if you want. Almost no screenshots, no real story-telling or interviews.
So basically what we do here in the General Career Discussion Thread, but then a separate thread for a longer ongoing career, which preferably should be started if the career is already over a season old, to avoid many thread starting up which last only a month. |

Guys, a question.
If I click Ctrl+U, to hide everything, the game freezes(/ Pauses) it seems, though in PCM 12, I used it to make screenshots.. How can I stop that happening, or how can I hide everything an other way?
And I saw it as well Ian. Not sure if many guys are interested in starting a career 'story' though.
