tmr96: Well, attacking in a time-trial will be difficult. I hope so, but it'll be difficult because most of the points will be given at the finish in the hilly stages.

Tour de San Luis – Stage 4 (ITT)
Stage Preview
Today we drove a time-trial, and it was very difficult for us. So let’s start with the report. We’ve followed a few riders today, from who we thought they could drive a good time-trial.
Sepulveda was the first rider we followed. He can drive decent time-trials. He drove the second time at the interim. At the finish he was second at the moment, so no bad choice to follow.
Delfosse was another rider we followed. He drove a very decent time-trial and took at the moment the second place at the finish.
Finally, a rider of our team. To was de rider with the lowest place in the ranking. He was standing at place 73 before the team trial. He drove a decent time-trial and took a 29th place at that moment.
We’ve also followed Ian Bibby. He drove a very good time-trial and finished at position 3 at the moment.
And then, Vincent Rogers in the mountain jersey. Our best tt-rider, so we expected at least a finish above position forty. But he failed. At the end of the day he finished 53rd. Even To had a better time.
The moment that Ian Bibby finished and took 3rd.
The finish of the disappointed time-trial from Vincent Rogers.
Adriano Malori was the big favourite for today. He drove an excellent time-trial and posted the best time at the finish. Is there anybody else who can post a better time?
Ian Watson had a 15th place to defend, but he can’t drive time-trials. He lost a lot of positions and even Rogers passed him in the ranking.
The Portuguese Gonçalves was one of the last riders who could beat the time of Malori. But his time wasn’t that good as the one of Malori. So it looked like another stage win for Lampre.
The ranking-leader Mori had a lot of trouble riding the time-trial. He lost a lot of positions and also the lead in the general ranking. That’s bad news for us. Mori will now wear the mountain jersey, so that means that Rogers has lost that jersey. But we’re happy that there are three other stages with also mountain sprints, so we will try to get that jersey back.
No-one could beat Malori today so that means another stage win for Lampre. Dirk Müller took over the leader jersey. We lost a lot of positions, so we will try to be in the breakaway the last three stages. And we’ll try to win the mountain jersey.
Today's winner

Tour de San Luis – Stage 5
Stage Preview
Today was a stage with a climb around 7 kilometres at the end. The last stage with a hill top finish was won by Mori. He’s also one of today’s favourites, just like Serpa and Sevilla. We tried to attack with Rogers and Rodrigues, but we were caught.
Till around 100 kilometres before the finish, there was a breakaway with 13 men. But the peloton took them back. There were several other attacks and Rogers went with them. We tried to take the mountain points of the sprint 6 kilometres before the finish.
We got a breakaway with 7 riders, with Rogers and the national champion of Iran Alizadeh. But we didn’t get any mountain points today. Rogers was already a bit tired of attacking at the start of the stage. And some other riders wanted those mountain points too.
The breakaway wasn’t caught at the begin of the final climb. But then there was an attack of the race leader, Müller. He countered an attack of Guillou, and Serpa went with him.
Guillou won the sprint against Alizadeh and Barbé. He is also the new leader of the Tour de San Luis. Rogers finished 13th and is currently 16th in the general classification! We now have 8 points arrears at the new leader Guillou, so maybe we’ll forget the KoM jersey and try to get a good result in the general ranking.

The team is making the sponsors proud, getting into all of these breaks, which should be the main aim I reckon. |

Nice to see that Rogers state so high in the general classification . It's pity that he not wins the KoM.

The Rider: Yes, it's our only chance to get a good result at the moment, so we don't have many choices.
tmr96: Yeah, it's great to see him performing very well. But we're almost chanceless for the KoM jersey, so maybe this is a better idea. But it still will be difficult.
Ian Butler: It already surprised me where pcmdaily's biggest spammer, uhh, poster would be. But there he is! Thanks!
Bikex: It seems that Rogers already has his first fan.

Tour de San Luis – Stage 6
Stage preview
Rogers was standing too good in the classification to attack, so we had to attack with another rider.
We decided to attack with Sobczyk. He has already a few mountain points, so maybe we could take the mountain jersey with him. Too bad Sobczyk doesn’t have very well climbing skills.
So we decided to attack with Freire. He has better climbing stats than Sobczyk, so maybe we could get some points with him.
And yes, this is Sobczyk. He lost the contact to the breakaway, already at the first climb!
Freire caught Sobczyk, but he had still a long way to go till he’ll be in the leading group.
Finally Freire was in the leading group, but he had already used a lot of energy.
The breakaway had around eight minutes at the start of the final climb, so it was possible for the riders in the leading group to win the stage. During the climb Freire had lost contact to the breakaway. Sobczyk was already caught by the peloton.
Guillou and Serpa attacked and they caught Freire, who was losing a lot of positions.
Gutiérrez Gutiérrez won the stage. He was a rider who’s of the breakaway. Rogers lost a lot of time and has falling back from 16th place to the 41st place, which is very disappointed for us. No mountain jersey, no good classification. Maybe we can get a nice result in the stage of tomorrow, which is also the last stage of this Tour de San Luis. We’ll try! Tomorrow there are also other riders of our team riding the Grand Prix la Marseillaise. But more news about that is coming up soon!

Grand Prix la Marseillaise
Stage Preview
Today was not only the last stage of the Tour de San Luis, but there was also the Grand Prix la Marseillaise. We decided to attack, because it’s maybe the only possibility to get a good result.
We attacked with our main leader, Will Burton. He is our best climber and hill cycler, so maybe he could do something in a breakaway.
It has taken some time, but finally we had a breakaway with thirteen cyclers. Also Burton was in the breakaway. He was riding very well. The breakaway had still two minutes with 15 kilometres to go. There were several attacks from inside the peloton, but they couldn’t do anything.
The breakaway had still a small lead over the peloton, and we all knew they will get it till the finish. We were very nervous and excited, because Burton could do something really nice!
We know that Burton isn’t a good sprinter, but he all surprised us! He was sprinting very well and went to the front!
Dempster was the best sprinter of the breakaway today, and Burton took a great sixth place! We’re very happy with this result. For a small team as us with such young cyclers these kind of results are very important, so we’re happy with this result!

NTTHRASH: Yeah, for us it's a great opening. Tour de San Luis is too difficult for us, but the result here is great.

Wow, that's a great result for the team!
Too late to take my words back? Or is the difficulty just set too low?

Jesleyh: Yes, it is! Well, I don't think the difficulty is too low. I play on normal but that's the good difficulty for me. Told ya that they would surprise you. But this is also a breakaway, a race with not very many good riders and then it's easier to get such a result.
