Preparing for debut
Here it is,its around 9am here in Oman, everything is ready for my first road cycling race. My teammates are hurrying up me so i will do quick review for you guys, just to check our team and actual route.
Prerace comment
Well, knowing that this is my first race and that there is Gerrans for our team,i don't expect anything. I will be very satisfied with TOP30 or something at the end. But thats not priority. My priority is to bring Gerrans in as better as possible position until it comes to hilly terrain. Where he aims for TOP5. Anyway, its always good to know that you're 1st teammate of rider such as Gerrans.
Route
Route of this years Tour of Oman is totally going on our hand and thats just it. We will try to get 1 stage win and TOP5 in GC. I said my goals upthere.
Here are stage profiles:
1st
2nd
3rd
4th
5th
6th
Squad
Arthur Adams
Sam Bewley
Simon Gerrans
Leigh Howard
Svein Tuft
Sebastian Langeveld
Jens Mouris
Tomas Vaitkus
Thats it. Now i have to go,we're starting it soonly!

Some nice graphics you got there, as others said, quite appealing. Only thing that worries me a bit is that with your starting stats and 1,0 evolution of attributes, you'll probably be a TdF contender in your second year as a pro. However it's of course your choice how fast you want this to develop, but just some input Otherwise, keep it up!

I'm not too sure about this "TdF contender next season" thing but I've seen young guys increasing some five or six points in one year on .5, so I think you get an impression.
Again I want to underline that this is your story and it's definetely not necessarily bad if you keep it like that. However, if you want to, you can change the development speed in DYN_manager, I think.

1.0 development will be rocket speed!!!
Imagine Van Kiersbulck. By the end of this season he will be 77-78CB, by the Flanders classics 2014 he will be 80+CB. (of course not guaranteed, but that development is what to expect)
For long careers 0.3 or less. For 2-4seasons 0.4-0.6 (0.6 at a push). For single seasons 1.0 can be used.

I've got to be on more often! Nice job in Australia, hope to see a successful Oman! And with all this "1.0 evolution" business: I've never, ever, not even in a dream, had that affect my riders' progression. It's still slow as hell, and often my signed youngsters(6 stars of potential in blank stat) will progress 2 whole points if I'm lucky. Or, unlucky. Or something.

1st stage
Stage profile
Pre-stage comment
I will try to be short as it is possible. My debut. My job today is to protect Gerrans and relay a bit. Sprint stage and i dont have anything to search for there.
What a great feeling! First road race stage of my life! This is incredible! At the start,my job was to protect Gerrans and bring him to top of group, thats exactly what i did!
At the front,Bookwalter and Veilleux created breakaway.
I felt great,i brought back to car and they said that, according to my heart rate/speed and other elements , my form is 4+ today!
Few kilometers after,we had to chase at the front of group,we wated ,as good as possible position for Leigh Howard.
25kms to go,after long conversation with me and Tomas Vaitkus, Sebastian Langeveld decided to attack.
Bookwalter didnt have enoguh power to keep at front with these 2 and group ate him. Not lately after that,Veilleux and Langeveld are caught. 20 kms to go, Now sprinting trains can go on.
Chain problems brought Leigh to the end of group right after 5kms banner,i knew that thats it,i tried my best to get him back to top of group but pace was just too high.
Guys at front launched sprint for Tom Boonen,he was obviously biggest favourite for todays race.
And yepp,at the end he got it.
I finished this stage quietly, knowing that i done great job! Really satisfied with 1st stage. I was riding at the end of group and at the end i heard that i got some gap. Okay, i will try to get there in tommorows attack (this is surprise, don't tell this to my teammates!)
