Uhm, not sure how could I miss this til now. First stage was ok, didn't expect much, got nothing. But I had hopes for Kump to take the second, too bad both my riders went from way too far.

Excellent to see Gautier proving to be one of the strongest here and also that his sprint stat is keeping him well placed even without bonus seconds.
Congrats to HTC.

Congrats to HTC, it seems like the team carried their magic from the last season also to this one. Very surprisive by Armee.
Metinvest with two riders in the big group, that is good, but one of Grygorenko, Pakthusov duo needs to attack, or they will end around 25th place and that is worth almost nothing.
Vasylyuk 9th in first stage, first rider without points, we need to snatch some...
Nice reports and pictures as always Roturn!

I have too many captains here - Kadri (who I didn't expect to take on a captain role...), Reimer and Kennaugh.
In this particular situation I would have preferred for my team to chase down the break and Reimer win it in the sprint. 2nd is obviously a good stage result, but Reimer needs the GC bonus seconds. |

Good job, although 2 more tough stages to come.

Great stage for us
Nice for Kangangi to pick up a breakaway win, as well as Chaoufi and Khalilikhosroshani holding their GC positions. Hopefully this race can help salvage something from this month after a terrible few stages in Alentejo.
Great report Roturn, especially like the finishing screen

Nice try by Astarloza, too bad he didn't nail it. :/ Oh well. A 4th place isn't too bad.

I told ya you cant let Burlutsky go, he is the master attacker for you.
Nice attack and win from the break for Kenya, congrats.
Shame that none of our riders are keen to enter the break, but we are hoding two top26 positions, so they only defended that probably. Now i hope for sligtly bigger selection on next two stages, so Pakthusov could enter top15.

Burlutsky has somehow become a cult figure. His is one of the reasons that I love this game - we create our own stories and riders start to take on a very real personality.
Cousin is now also sitting inside the top 10 and could even be competitive in the young rider competition. This is going better than expected for sure!

Urgh looks like Gautier was blocked a bit in that sprint. Too many riders taking bonus seconds this stage, so Gautier really needed a podium.

After a slightly disappointing 3rd stage, that was an excellent result. Salerno picked the perfect attack to follow and timed the sprint very well. Those bonus seconds will be extremely valuable for the remainder of the race.
Good to see Flugel giving Heine a bit of compensation as well. Easy to indulge VW that stage win after the earlier disappointment.

My riders did a good effort, but sadly the stage wasn't hard enough to create gaps. I'm not liking the looks of this, because I doubt the next stage will create gaps either. I hope to be wrong.

I hate this race, i should have sent Hoffman and he would win that.
At least Metinvest got some coverage today thanks to attacks of Grygorenko and Pakthusov, but they hold still places 23 and 27, so i can hope for some five points from this whole race.
Boring race with no gaps, i feel sorry for teams with top puncher here, Armee is looking like a winner already, just to survive tommorow.
Congrats to VW, at least some consolation for them. And thanks for the nice report.

Tough day for Vueling. Lucky that no gap was given to the break, meaning that Reimer's still in it to win it
Difficult situation for him as he was pretty much isolated in the end. Kadri was there, but he seems to be riding for himself |

5th place, that's quite a surprise. But it's too little, too late, I fear.
