if Cance is ok then ASO should do a 1930 Giro-Binda trick and make this race worth watching

What is the 1930 Giro-Binda trick?

And Paris-Roubaix is ALWAYS worth watching.

Binda had dominated the Giro so many times the organizers offered to pay him the overall winner's prize money to not attend.

Binda said "give me a day to think it over"....and called the Tour organizers to say "If you pay me enough I'll ride the Tour instead of the Giro". They wet their pants and said yes. Then he called the Giro organizers back and said "sure why not".

Then he soft pedalled through the Tour other than trying - and winning - the two stages that had profiles similar to his big goal for the season : the worlds - which he also won

On his deathbed 56 years later he admitted the Tour organizers had never actually paid him the money they owed.

The BMC flu ? Evans has had it for years too, and Gilbert has gotten it too.
They really should hire a proper doctor there.

In Evans's and Hushovd's case, I'd say they got the "I'm past it" flu. There's no known cure for it.

I don't think it's the flu. Otherwise they would've dominated.

Corticosteroids are used to treat the flu that's why Smile

What an awesome story Pfft Sure sounds like he could've broken some records if he felt like it!

Does anybody know where to find a time schedule? For example, I want to know what time they pass the trouee de Wallers-Arenberg. Thanks!

Ian Butler
Trouée d'Arenberg: At about 14.15, but it all depends on their speed, of course.

Thor Hushovd says he's gotten rid of the flu and sees a podium place as realistic!

Eurosport was actually filming him riding for a segment they were doing, when he fell. So there's footage of it. Not a nasty fall, but it was on the same side as the Scheldeprijs fall.
