i think there should be an option where you can change the work rate of your whole team at the same time, esp in ttt's. its anoying having to click on every rider individually when you want them all to do the same thing. There shouold also maybe be team controls where you can click on a button that says 'chase break' and the whole team automatically moves to the front, or 'protect leader' or 'lead out sprinter'.
You can do that by selecting multiple riders, then change them all at the bottom left hand corner of the screen (at least you could for 06)

there is. hold CTRL and keep clicking on riders. you'll select them and the previously selected ones will stay selected.
Everything in windows works like that, why would PCM be any different?

it was in the 2005 version and it'll be in again next year in an even more advanced way.

you can. get a rider to observe him. if he attacks, a "Go" button will appear. hit "go" and your guy will go with him. It's not 100% automatic but it's still something.

A few things I'd like to see:
A way to reference the fitness levels of your riders in-race. It's often the case that I can't remember which 73 Hill/75 Mt rider is at 90 fitness, and which is at 84 fitness.
A way to reference the "favorites" in-race. Especially after the "CTT" starts, the favorites list gets pushed to the bits of the race that are the fastest to load, leaving me staring at the list of registered teams (which I can refer to in-race) and the CTT rankings (which generally don't matter to me as I race nearly exclusively continental outfits).
A way to plan out your start lists in-game. Rather than keep ten sheets of paper with names scrawled, scratched out, and replaced, it would be great to be able to have some sort of in-game spreadsheet-like feature that would let me plug in the riders I want to race the Giro and what races I'll then use as preparation (Trentino or Romandie).
And, finally, a way to decline advancing to the CTT. The CT is way more fun in my opinion, mostly because I'm not forced to race the grueling classics and the epic GTs. Seems to me that advancing to the CTT should be much like getting a wild card to a CTT race. In the real world, teams apply for PT licenses and then are granted/denied them based on their strength and results (or at least in theory that's how it works), can't it be that way in PCM, too? As an example: I'm playing with Sella Italia right now, and I'm sitting at no. 2 in the continental rankings. I'm not really winning anything, but I'm getting 2nds and thirds and generally being consistent enough to stay up in the rankings. I'd be seriously outclassed in the CTT (my highest TT rider is at 72, and my best Cobbler is at 70). I'd rather be given the option of staying down, as I usually lose interest in the game once I get to the next level...
and that's "it!" I imagine the game is too far along in development to see any of these, but bugs aside, I really think PCM is a great game and would love it even more if there were a few small changes made! |

I want to say that Cyanide is a stupid team of half-educated programmers and half-educated graphic artists + a man named Pinget who refused my beta apply. |

That post doesn't really have much to do with suggestions though |

@7secondsed: I like the fitness and the planning part. They'd make some good additions.
But as you say, probably too late

i like the in-game startlist idea, its such a mess with papers accumulating on my desk
and to make the game more realistic, you have to do a pre-startlist for the races(1 month before),in real life, riders already know in what races they're going to ride at the beginning of the season

I'd like to see the spreadsheet thing, which riders will ride which races.
However, riders do not know at the start of the season which races they'll ride.
Depending on the team, a different number of riders will have an idea of what races they'll ride, but it's always open to change and a lot of things are decided right "on the moment", even for the top riders.

I wonder why he refused your beta apply... And I wonder why I refused your application to become administrator here |

You know what would be great but would never happen, a water/food delivery system.
Have all the team cars at the back of the peleton and when your riders need water you have to control a rider to the back next to their team car then pass the waters out.
Any a puncture system, say when you get a flat either a mavic or team car comes up then maybe have a button smasher type game to control how fast they go changing his tire
And bikes never break in the game, that would be cool!
and get rid of that fucking daily form thing

Great ideas! That will be done by 2015. Wait a bit. |
