It has always been on a Saturday, but starting this year, it will be on Sunday each year...

I think it's a slam dunk Sagan's victory.
He got everything working for him,his form, the parcours and the weather,it's going to be nasty weather tomorrow and this suits Sagan very well as the descents will be crucial.
Now to predict a little bit i see a group of 10-15 riders reaching san remo in the front and Sagan outsprints everybody, also Moser will be of great help to him in the poggio.
On a final note just to give my dark horse for the race-haussler.
Really looking forward to see how he goes. |

When San Remo has one such dominant favorite the result is almost always the same: Everyone works against him and he doesn't win
Of course, that's "Almost" always, not always

It's San Remo. Favorite status does not mean nothing in that race. |

Indeed, who would've tought that Cav would win in 2009, or Goss in 2011, or Gerrans in 2012. I could well be that this years's winner will be another outsider no one has held into account. |

I do pray for your own good that Hushovd doesn't win. |

Which is quite a problem since issoisso has used years to teach me that Italian cycling classics are on Saturdays. |

I think the weather will have an importan role tomorrow. It will be rainy, so, i bet for a breakaway with strong guys like pozzato, chavanel, nibali, voeckler, cancellara.
And watch out with Andrey Amador.

I think that if Chavanel is near the front on the Poggio, that he could have a great chance of taking the win, depending on who ends up forming the almost inevitable break group and if they manage to stay away. I would also keep an eye on Roelandts as Avin said, he seems in good form and has managed to post Ok results on hilly/mountain stages recently considering he's a sprinter. I don't think that either of the past two winners (Gerrans,Goss) will come close. Gerrans lacks form and Goss struggled on the Poggio last year.

Judging by the discussion in this thread, a poll between Sagan and "Someone else" would actually be pretty close.

Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

I wouldn't be surprised if a small group went away on The Poggio only for Sagan to catch them in the final Km with someone like Voeckler hanging on to take it by less then 2 bike lengths from him.
