Yes, BikeRoel i was considering doing both of those, but i really like the direction this stories heading and want to keep going with it, and changing the DB will delete the save game. At the moment, it's highly likely that i'll have PCM13 when it is released, and then i'll start with a brand new team, story and idea. (Hopefully an MTN one). But anyways, on with more reports.
you could change the file name the db for CCC and create a file with the jersey and stuff
@Pinktay3: your story is great it wasn't to crack your story at all. But some more decorations will definitely feel more attractive to read for others. But so far you doing well and it is indeed a very good story
The more punchy of the 2 deciding stages, Stage 4 has 5 categorized climbs, promising an exciting fight for the KOM jersey and a good position heading into the Summit Finish tomorrow. 53 KOM Points are up for grabs if the same rider crosses all of them in 1st. Today the team has 4 cards to play. Talansky is our undisputed leader for the day, as he poses the best option for tomorrows climb. Warbasse will be Andrew’s right hand man, for both today and tomorrow. Talbott will be looking to continue in the breaks and the KOM Jersey, and Boswell has been given free reign to do what he wants in the last 3rd of the race.
Talansky and Warbasse are considered outsiders for the day, but do not underestimate them.
The Race
First attack of the day comes at the foot of the first climb. Talbott springs away and his gap is very quickly out to 1 minute. By the top of the 9km first climb, Talbott is out front by himself with a gap of 2:40 to the peloton and 1:55 to A. Wetterhall (Endura) and G. Lequatre (RadioShack).
Lequatre is 2nd over the climb followed (surprisingly) by Wetterhall. As the gap passes over the top, Talbott leads by 3:00 with Wetterhall and Lequatre stuck in the middle.
Passing over the summit of the 2nd climb, Talbott has a lead of 9:30 to the peloton. The chasing 2 are still in no man’s land, 6:10 in front of the bunch, but still 3:15 behind Talbott. Wetterhall takes 2nd in front of Lequatre for the remaining points.
The first IS, situated 105km’s from the finish, was won by Talbott, ahead of Wetterhall and Lequatre, who are still 3:10 behind Talbott. The gap back to the bunch is 9:40.
Surprise surprise, Talbott takes the 3rd KOM, ahead of Lequatre and Wetterhall, the latter having been dropped by his fellow escapee. The gap has now been cut back however, and sits at 8:50. Slowly but surely, it starts to get brought back under control.
With 60km’s left to race, Talbott passes through the 2nd IS of the day, around 1 minute in front of Lequatre and 2:30 ahead of a struggling Wetterhall. The bunch passes through 5 minutes later.
With 50km’s to go, a potentially dangerous Counter Move takes form, with M. Possoni (Sky), R. Bertogliati (TT1), D. Batek (CCC) and Boswell moving clear of the bunch. Although its brought back 5km’s later, it provides a nice springboard for Possoni, who attacks again with 45 left.
Possoni is quickly brought back to the bunch after Boswell set off in pursuit of him. After the recent attacks have been neutralized, Talbott and his new breakaway partner, Lequatre, hold just under 2:10 on the bunch, with the all important 2nd last climb only 19km’s away.
With 30km’s left, we are back to square one, with the breakaway caught and a lead peloton of 44 riders 8km’s from the 2nd last climb of the day. As Talbott gets pats on the back from all his teammates in the lead group, Apple assumes command of the peloton.
C. A. Sorenson (Saxo Bank) takes the KOM from Visconti and Siutsou, with G. Larsson (Saxo Bank) and S. Morabito (BMC) scraping the last of the points. At this point, Warbasse, Boswell and Talansky are sitting quite comfortably at the head of the peloton, although from early indications, Talansky appears to be helping Warbasse more than himself.
With 15km’s left, the final IS is contested, with Visconti further extending his lead with 6 points and bonus seconds. 2nd goes to Morabito and 3rd is taken by the little Colombian mountain goat in A. Cano (Columbia). Around 3km’s of downhill follow before the final ascent to the finish.
10km’s left and its all uphill from here. Warbasse is well placed, sitting 4th wheel, behind Cano, Visconti and Siutsou. Boswell is cooked after all his hard work for his 2 leaders today, and Talansky bonked just after the sprint point. Warbasse is our last chance, but we have faith in him and will be super happy if he can stick with the front runners.
First to attack is Larsson, and the only reaction it promotes is from Sky, who send R. Uran to the front to try to bring him back. As soon as his gap hit 30”, Gasparotto jumps, followed closely by Cano, Siutsou and Morabito. Visconti waits it out, and it looks as though Warbasse is looking to him.
The constant attacks bring the front 16 back together, and with 6km’s left its all together again. The attacks continue until 3km’s to go, at which point Warbasse works on the front to try to bring back a very strong Larsson. It puts him in the box seat for an Uran attack, and jumps straight on. Gasparotto, Morabito and Siutsou manage to latch onto the back, and Gasparotto opens the sprint.
Larsson takes a nice breakaway win by 25 seconds to Gasparotto and Morabito. Warbasse, Uran and Siutsou take 4th to 6th, but will share the same time as the 2nd and 3rd finishers. Visconti, D. Pate (HTC), Sorenson and Cano complete the top 10.

Overall, not a bad stage from the team. Talbott has all but secured his KOM Jersey for the team, no one was outside the Time Limit and Warbasse is well placed and capable to be able to make a move up tomorrow climb. Gasparotto holds the lead, but will need to perform extremely well to keep it, although he will be able to make up close to 2 minutes in Time Bonuses over the last 5 stages. Hopefully we can play our cards right tomorrow and see what happens.
Just an update, I'm now on holidays, but with relatives over for Easter and me trying to fix up all the jerseys to be able to take screenshots, reports will be about the same regularity. Possible more often though, depending on how long it takes to fix the jersey problem.
I regret to inform everyone that this story is dead. Our DB started playing up and in Jakstar's hastiness to resurrect his Ryder story he deleted this save game. Its too much work to get it back now, so I'm just gonna start a new story.
Sorry to all my followers, but i plan on coming back with a bigger and better story (with Screens )
