Could the Irish National team have Peter Hawkins instead of Sherlock please? Would be of more help to Bennett in the sprints, and is a rider I almost decided to buy myself at the end of transfers

I wondered when a first mass-crash will happen
This mixes things up, pretty interesting. The favorited sprinters may have to try their luck in a break now (Like Ricki Nelson tried in the Bay Classics' hilly stage back then, iirc). Too bad no(ne of my) Hong Kong-rider made it into leading group.

Nice to see 3 riders (and Deignan) in the lead group, even if they didn't try anything, but a shame that McEvoy missed it. Tees it up interestingly for the hilly stages now. |

I agree with tsmoha, whilst crashes can feel horrific they do give this crit series a different dimension.
It does make me wonder what you do between the stages do you reset the times? I'd imagine those riders who have 'lost' time will be more likely to attack in future stages.
Great to see loanee's Rowsell and Opie up there, I get the feeling both are in for a long year of riding water bidon duty in the protour this year. So nice to see some riding in the top ten.

After several days of testing, we decided to run the Crits in "Classics-mode", so we just play every race as a single one. It ain't a perfect solution, especially when a crash happens and some riders might have tried something in next race.
But playing the Crits as a stage-race caused too many problems, not only because of the points-system/race-leader, but also the gameplay. Less riders attacking (in several tests for the Bay Classics, i had only one rider attacking in every of the flat stages) and some more issues to handle.
So, in short: we don't have to reset any times and just hope for some of the sprinters to try it anyway (e.g., in the Bay Classic's hilly stage, Ricki Nelson tried this luck in a break, too)

I think it`s quite often in these crits that puncheurs attack in flat stages like Duggan here and sprinters attack in hilly stages. |

Where did JTL get that! Great race, really active and kept you guessing until the line.
Now to transfer that result to the main game.

Nice win for Hongkong, and huge fail by Duggan. This one could have saved him a spot for the Crits finals. But he has still a good chance, of course.

Wow, that was one active hilly stage! You managed to keep me excited right to the finish line. I was 100% sure Yeung missed the victory at the end there
Great report, roturn!

Fun little race though disappointed that O'brien didn't do much of anything (okay he's not the best on the hills but still )
Hopefully Speirs can conjure up something in the 3rd stage

Another enjoyable stage, by the way whereabouts in Manchester have you based these crits? I live and work in and around Manchester so it would be fascinating for me to know where you have made these crits!
Raleigh need to get in breaks if they want any more success on the hilly stage, but hope they get some points on the non hilly one.

Third Crit: West of Manchester in Salford, Salford Royal.
