Hard, not joking. Just too good. Best sprinter at the TDU won the most stages, Here, we have a very good sprinter who is a top favourtie. Nature of the draw.
Stage 2
Yesterday was fantastic, a really top notch day all round. Could we repeat again today.
It took 41km for the inevitable break to get away, and in it was Felline from Andalucia, Thurau from Europcar, Rothe from Garmin, and a Columbian team rider.
As usual we let the other teams bring back the break and in the mean time laughed at the sprinters jersey holder Michael Matthews for his appauling jersey.
Heading into the last 20kms, the break was not far from being caught, and the peleton was being drilled by several teams including Lampre.
As we hit 5 to go the unfamilar sight of our leadout train was at the front.
and within the last kilometre things look even better.
Could we pull of another victory?
Spoiler Bugger.

Stage 3
No chance of anything happening today for us, so we would sit back and watch the drama up front unfold.
A break formed early with Chalapaud being the main attacker in it. With 10ks to go he attacked from the break and built up a lead of 30 seconds with only 2 ks to go.
But the severe gradient of the climb meant that he had no energy left for the sprint.
Niemiec from Lampre easily got the spoils.

Stage 4- ITT
Durbridge was one of the heavy favourties for this one, but with no racing in his legs, l wasn't so sure.
When he had finished, he was provisionally 3rd, but we knew it wasn't going to be enough for a top 5 unfortunately.
Pavel Brutt ended up winning the stage.

Try Extreme for 1 flat stage. If you get a top 5, continue with extreme and if you fail than go back to hard.

Stage 5
The only thing we wanted today were sprint points, which Matthews did very well. He came 2nd in a very disorganised early break. After that he slipped back into the peleton to watch the antics unfold.
With 60km to go, the leading to of Niemec, Lampre upped the pace to catch a potentially dangerous 7 man break, including 9th place in GC Rosseler from Garmin.
Early up the final long climb, a group of 6 caught the break and kept on going, which included the race leader.
As the final part of the climb was crested, Niemec struck the defining blow into his attacking counterparts, as he had a 30 second advantage with only the descent to come.
Another stage win, and more time put into the bank for Niemec

Only brang the team here to sprint, which is what we are good at.
Stage 6
Need to get in the break today, was hoping l could get Matthews in it to get more points.
Unfortunately though, Lampre must have some extremely weird and unexplanable fetish for having all of my riders in the peleton, as once again they pointlessly stop any of our attacks. Frustratingly though, they then let 8 riders go up the road and allow them to ride to the finish, with BMC rider Elijssen winning the stage in a bunch sprint.
Though, back in the back, Matthews made a break with 70ks to go and got within 1min 30 of the BOTD, but didnt have the strength to make it all the way. He ended up finishing 9th, getting 7 sprint points. Happy.
Now for the bad news.
