Oh that is just awesome. I was worried that Feillu's high fighter stat would be a huge disadvantage this season but then if it means he does stuff like this then I am not complaining. Also Barcelona Classic last year showed me VSB's value outside the cobbles so he is racing several races like this this season.
Congrats to AirBaltic. Vaitkus is very much underrated as their leader

Hong Kong Pooey for many. But one man's disappointment is another's delight.
Some will bemoan the AI and yes sitting up at the end there seemed senseless from Vueling but it appeared as if they were being left to do all the chasing themselves.
Don't know about Vaitkus being an underrated rider - he is a bit like lightening striking once or twice a year. I don't know whether we will see him strike again. Still ANFreeman can take what he can get a fine win here.

Lame start to the season. Hope we don't see too many more like that.
I like seeing the break win sometimes when it's a real fight, but the attackers pulled out 2 minutes in the last 10k or so on a flat run in. AI..... |

I had some small hopes for podium, but not with our Thai-rider though
This was a really thrilling stage, especially for us who joined the breakaway. Really good attack by Vaitkus at the end and a well deserved victory. Very important points for both us and for JK Cycling
Congratulations ANFreeman! |

Beyond the fact that the AI was ridiculous, I don't like how my team reminded me of the first part of last year's season: no effort to get into the breakaway, no effort to go with the late attackers either -> lame result. Last year we could afford the luxury, this year it'll mean relegation. Argh.

Not the outcome I had expected, though we came here hoping to win, and Vaitkus delivered!
Been a pretty good start to the season for us, overall.
