Agree with both Didn't expect my sprinters to do well here, except of final stage, but it's still a bit frustrating to haven't seen any Oz "in action" yet. William Ford as 16th in DU Classic at least saved some points.
You'll just have to cheer on any of my riders that make it into a breakaway instead

Gavazzi ??? Well that certainly puts the cat amongst the pigeons.
Tour Down Under can be a prickly little beast, getting the feeling that Hollisters season just beginning to unravel what with a full Tour of America and Davis' speed nullified.

Efimkin avoided trouble and no break stayed clear. Can't ask for much more!
And btw, I loved this screen:

Manfredi and Senyenov look pretty small behind (I assume) Gruzdev!

Nice, Costa and Barrio working well together. So it looks like Costa is in store for another successful season.

Yes! I love you, Efimkin!
I thought it was over for him when he got caught behind Mehr-Wenige, but he found his way through perfectly there. Great finish from Taborre too, which is promising ahead of Willunga Hill.
And not to forget - thrilling report, roturn!

Not too bad, good to see Visconti attacking and all of our best finishing in first group. A Top-5 for the stage would have been nice though
Love the Visconti-attacking screenshot! Not only because it's Oz.

Sort what I expected. Hoping that Maar and Lijke attacka a lot now. Break can definitely succeed on one of the stages. Serry looking like our best bet for GC at the moment.
Great report, thoroughly enjoyed it Efimkin with great start. He'll be scary trough the season.

Bad luck for HTC with De Maar losing contact in the end and in especially Vueling. Reimer surely the biggest disappointment. Pretty similar to Geschke, so I hope he just had a bad daily form.
I guess Haussler, Davis, Reimer and other 70+ puncheurs could have survived. But they decided to save their energy for the flat stages. |

Well, Kump showed our colors, but I certainly expected more from Bole, not to fight for the stage or anything like that, but at least keep up with the first group.
Congrats Pelli, good victory for Efimkin as his GC chances increase a fair bit.

Nice to see Schurter in the lead group although i'm a little disappointed Hugentobler lost those 50 seconds. I didn't expect him to be that close to the leaders but it suggests he only lost contact right at the end of the stage.
Hopefully I'll be able to catch one of these Live Tweet Commentries before the end of the race.

Nice stage. CSC, Sram and Cisco did a good job today but Oz has placed a lot of riders in the top20 so they look good as well. Dowsett and Mehr-Wenige were pretty consistent too. It'll be interesting to see who will be able to benefit the most from this race.

What I love here is that even though it is two years the legend of Arashiro lives on. Pity he rides so rubbish for Meiji, I think the guy was born to ride with foreigners!
Also a lot of love for the reports, I am trying for the live action style this year to start rather than the after action report style I have often employed in the past. These reports are an excellent reference point to that.
Cannot see Gavazzi taking this Old Willunga surely will see Efimkin gain more and no way can the Italian gain too many more bonus seconds.

Or the manager in charge isn't as good at race planning
