It's very simple, Stybar has the technique and can climb very well (Koppenberg) so he'll win technical crosses and climb crosses. Albert is an allrounder and will win many crosses if he progresses (he hasn't done so well this year so far). Boom is a man for the really muddy crosses and climbing crosses, he won't do well in fast/technical ones. It's a perfect mix, I hope all three reach the same level.
The last thing cyclocross needs is another Nys who wins everything |

is it just me or does that seem like the general trend with cyclists from the Rabobank programme? lack of bike handling skills. I'm talking about the road as well.

Well, I see I have missed a lot (at least one uf us really rides a bike) so let's start from the begining: I'm glad there is a person like Ruben, with which I can have arguments. Of course Dutch are better on road than czechs (Dekker vs. Kreuziger, let me laugh) and also they do so on track (how many medals didhey have on last WCH, Czechs had one gold and one bronze). BUT you can't say they're better in cyclocross unless Stybar is in front of Boom and Netherlands leads by 16 points, though they have riders such as a Boom, Groenendaal, De Knegt, Al and I don't remember who. As I said, we shall see after next WC.
About teams: I agree with Ruben (fro first time); In Cyclocross it's all same: If you ride for Budvar Tábor, you will have to find a brand of bikes who will sponsor you (Apache, Merida or Duratec), you will ride Czech, German and some times even belgian races (if you are good). If you are good you will be part of national team and you will ride World cup races. If you'll win a World cup, you will sign a new contract. With Rabobank. But what will change? You'll get a road bike and a two cross bikes (Colnago, of course), you'll get more money (that's the main difference), you should find a house or flat in Netherlands*(but after two week you'll find out that your neighbour is Ruben and you'll break contract and move back to Czech rep or to Belgium). What next? You'll ride mostly Dutch and Belgian races and you can expect lack of team support in races.
Howgh, I finished.
* - Petr Dlask rides for Fidea, but he tries to train in Czech rep (I saw him several times) as much as he can. |

He won Louisville GP of Cyclocross recently. He is never outside of the top 10. He has to be the best American 'Cross rider ever.

in all seriousness, for once I'd like to read Levi's real opinion
(yes, because there is absolutely no way that's his real opinion. no one can be that biased. )

Interesting, I just looked at the UCI ranking system
World Cup win (like Pijnacker) 300 points
C1 (like some SP races) 60 points
C2 (GVA trophy) 30 points
That's fvcked up lol. Wellens only got 30 points for his victory in Niel. While Boom got 300 in Pijnacker yesterday. That while most crossers see the GVA as one of the most important trophies because of the money they can earn with it. |

Everyone in the world hates our freedom. They are jealous.

It's because Dlask is more old school cyclocross rider and Stybar is more technical as Simůnek is. |

If you like it, go to Holé Vrchy this saturday, it will be mud with snow and frozen ground, the terrain where wins tho most allround rider. I'll be racing there too. Expecting many falls. |

You only need to sneak past Germany, and if you drive an Opel draped with a danish flag, they wont even notice you.
