That's because hating on Ajax is something typically Dutch. You love them or you hate them. I find the hate for other teams is really ridiculous though. Football fans are many times told to hate team x or team y, starting at young age already. How will you bring back respect in football if it goes like this?
Meanwhile Ajax and Feyenoord are really good teams for young players to develop themselves and are therefore very important for Dutch football in general.
Well... I don't hate Ajax, I just uhm... completely dislike them.
I also don't like the arrogant attitude Ajax got.(We're the best and every other club is less, because we were champions more often than the other clubs)
But I agree on the youth, although Ajax got quite a few young players from Abroad(Most of them Danes ), and most of the Feyenoord-youth is just Dutch. But there's plenty of talent at both the clubs right now, I admit.
I find the attitude of Ajax not very different than that of other teams. Feyenoord, Ajax, PSV-fans. They´re pretty much the same. The same goes for the players.
I admire the loyalty of Feyenoord fans, but the blind hate for Ajax is sometimes very disturbing. |

+1 about the arrogant attitude . What I also hate about them is that they have 'fans' everywhere in the Netherlands. (Fans is between parentheses, because they say they support Ajax, but they can't even name 5 players. ) But that's just my opinion about them.
So, lokytrew, good luck picking 64 teams. Be sure to let Roda in.

This is indeed more than I expected. Does anybody know how I can count everything in a fast way?
@Ajax discussion. I totally agree with the arrogant attitude. Although I love it when they say they'll win from Utrecht

Feyenoord making it is not a surprise. I think you guys got 30+ points. The team with the lowest amount of votes here is West Brom with 6 points.

The fact that I put Roda on the first spot of my list helps a lot too then.

There are some clubs I even don't know.
Not that I don't like that, it will be fun to google them when we have to vote on one of them

I did just google Pennarossa, and they're awesome!!!
They are San-Marinese, and they played two matches in the Uefa Cup. It was a first round play-off, and they lost 1-9 on aggregrate
Their stadium capacity is about 1000. I'm disappointed that it's not the San-Marinese stadium with a big, 10 meter high rock behind one of the goals, because that's the stadium where the Netherlands played once

Here are the draws. Some exiting battles! Like the Dutch battle (Utrecht vs Roda) the Manchester classic (City vs United) and the cracker between Werder Bremen and Arsenal who both did great in the first round.
AC Milan v Zenit St. Petersburg
Ajax Amsterdam v Wolves
Ajax Cape Town v Wimbledon
Alfreton Town v West Bromwhich Albion
Arsenal v Werder Bremen SV
AS Roma v Tottenham Hotspur
Athletic Club Bilbao v Torquay
Barcelona v Sydney FC
Bayern Munich v Swansea
Borussia Dortmund v Sporting CP
Celtic v Sparta Prague
Chelsea v Seattle Sounders
Chievo Verona v SC Heerenveen
Corinthians v SC Cambuur
Everton v Santos
FC Basel v Saint Etienne
FC Utrecht v Roda JC
Feyenoord v River Plate
Fulham v Real Madrid
Groningen v Reading
Harrogate Town v Raith Rovers
Internazionale de Milano v PSG
Juventus v Viktoria Plzen
KAA Gent v Pennarossa
Köln v Palmeiras
LA Galaxy v Olympique Marseille
Lausanne v Newcastle United
Leicester City v NY Red Bulls
Levante v Napoli
L'pool v Montpellier
Mallorca v Molde FK
Man City v Manchester United
The voting is slowly, we are going to do two matches at the same time. The first one with 5 votes wins. When a game is over. Copy the whole list and mark the winner in bold. Then you bring on the new duel with your score.
AC Milan v Zenit St. Petersburg 0-1
Ajax Amsterdam v Wolves 0-1
Above is the perfect example of how it works. If one team gets 5 points, the game is decided. Hereby I open the next round.
Good luck!
