Other way round - it is technically in Europe, I just don't like to think it is
And edited to Caucasian, sorry about that got mixed up
The medieval people had lots of theories, most of them saying it was round, but never saying it was flat

No it's not. Caucasus covers the former Soviet countries Azerbadjan, Armenia and Georgia. These three countries are all European.

Welcome to the pyrotechnic display that is round 2 of the General Ignorance Quiz.
From now on, our focus each week will be dictated by a letter, and we'll start with A, for some strange reason. This weeks focus is on animals, so sink your teeth in the delight that is round 2 of general ignorance
1. What animal buries its head in the sand?
2. Where do gorilla's sleep?
3. What's the best floor of a building to throw a cat from?
4. What animal are the Canary Islands named after?
5. Who first discovered the Earth was almost round?
6. What do camels store in their humps?
7. How many toes does a two-toed sloth have?
8. What are guinea-pigs used for?
9. What colour is a panther?
10. How do moths feel about flames?
Answers by PM, remember, points for being correct and/or interesting, points taken off for saying the obvious

Some good answers so far.
And a note on number 5 - it should really read "Who first discovered the Earth was almost round?"
So anyone who's cleverly answered already that the Earth isn't perfectly round, can resubmit their answers

I've submitted my answers.
I forgot a few words in my explanations Crommy. I remember me writing "philosophy nature" in number 10, there should have been an 'of' in between.

I found this round increasingly hard not to state the obvious...I bet even my not so obvious (to me) answers turn out to be obvious answers! |

I just sent my answers. I'll probably go in negative this time, too. Hopefully get some points for being interesting |
