Why is this even an issue?

I and most people use it for light discussion of things - thoughts that aren't worth a full post and would be classified as spam. If I can summarise my entire thoughts on a subject in a sentence why should I bother posting it here? So I post it on twitter so other managers interested in chatting can talk about it as well. Like a chat room in IRC or talking around a water cooler. Nothing serious. Further I think you will find the most interested people with twitter are also the most frequent posters on the forum.

Why is this even an issue?

@CA You just hit the nail in the coffin. My thoughts exactly. Twitter is just for light conversation between teams that isn't worth making a post about. And if it is worth mentioning its a quick copy and paste onto the forum. So you can either join the small talk or not, its not this huge deal everyone is making it out to be.
