I don't think so mate, Vantomme will battle it out nicely too Not sure it's a gamble though at all.
Good race for Cav, will meet a lot. Not sure what he is doing at Milano though :-P

I have sent Thorsen instead, and he has no other sprinters to help him as they have gone to the Dutch Food Valley Classic to help Cav

BelarusBank confirm Przemysław Niemiec departure
After following DS Ste 117 from the Eurovision Cycling Team the Pole will not have his contract renewed in the off season. Niemiec has spent 2 years with the Belarussian outfit but the aging rider's results have been below par in his time at the team.
"Niemiec doesn't fit the ethos of the team and I think it is time for him to move on. I generally believe that the step up in division have shown his weaknesses and how much the aging factor has affected his career. Of course we all get old and there is nothing we can do stop that but we all know and so does he that his best years are behind him."
With an expected relegation to come and penalties implied in that it will almost certainly balance the books and allow the team invest in younger more talented riders to help team progress in the future.
"We will be using the wages freed up by his release to invest in younger riders. I have admit at this stage we are a developing team and developing riders is what we have to do whether bigger teams come and take them off us well that is up to them."

Thorsen bags first win in BelarusBank colours
Daniel Thorsen grabbed his first win for the Belarussian outfit in the first stage of the Tour of America. Many have been critical of Thorsen and his performances over the years. He hasn't managed to escape criticism this season from in his own team so this result came as welcome surprise .
DS Ste said "I couldn't quite believe to be honest with you. We all know that the team is struggling and has struggled all season. So to have riders chipping in and scoring the points and wins we need to stay at this level is a welcome delight."
"Of course Thorsen has is critics, including me and I have wanted him to prove me and all his critics wrong. Who knows this win could be the first step towards doing that. Only time will tell."
"We have a collection of talented sprinters in this team. One of the qualities of this team is its lead out train. I feel it is a very good train and when it works fluently its one of the best in this division."

Thorsen said "I am very happy with my first win for the team. I want to do my bit to help this team stay in the division and build and progress in the future. It is a young team in the Man Game with the DS only been around for nearly 3 seasons."
"I hope for more wins and better results in the future, this will spur me on. Everyone has critics but I hope to prove them wrong in the future."

At the start of the season I never envisaged Thorsen will have more stage wins than Mark Cavendish!

BelarusBank to retain sponsorship
BelarusBank have announced that they will pro long their sponsorship of the team. "It is fantastic news for the team and Cycling in Belarus." DS Ste said. "We have had a disappointing season on our debut in the PCT division but we were not expecting to hit the ground running."
"A complete overhaul of the team could be expected and we will look to get rid of those riders who have failed to impress, especially those on high wages."

DS Ste gives his thoughts on the 2014 season
DS of the BelarusBank team gives his reactions to a tough debut year in the PCT this season.
"It has been my most difficult season in charge of this team. We knew we had a weak team coming into the season and I felt we made some impressive signings. It was just a shame that other teams thought to invest in some of the best sprinters around. It did make for good entertainment and close racing with a lot of frustrating results for us."
How are you going to bounce back next season?
"This will be tough, as seen this season the CT is a very strong competitive division which will get even stronger next season. I think it would unfair and disrespectful to other teams if I said we will top the division because we have come down from PCT and therefore should have one of the best squads. That is not true, I am fully expecting another tough season and competitive season."
Will there me an overhaul of the team roster, some riders are aging now?
"Of course we will look at the results from last year and see who we think deserves another season on this team. Yes we have an aging team but with age comes experience. A few riders are aware that their time at the team is over and some know they are on the edge of failing to secure a contract for next season. It is up to them to prove that they are good enough to apart of this team in the future. We only ever want the very best talent around."

Could Thorsen be the scourge of the CT in 2015 or continue his reign as whipping-boy? Would be quite a gamble but certainly interesting to follow!
Was unfortunate for you that the sprinting in PCT became so competitive in 2014 season; think I recall you had some wildcard success with Cav when racing PT which just shows what could have been. What will be in fashion in the PCT (and CT) in 2015? - likely a key we will all be attempting to second-guess. Hope life in the CT brings you some better success.

It's impossible to predict who will sign who and what other managers target, its a lottery and unfortunately for us we lost the lottery. With Thorsen I will assess the direction we want to go in. I need to sign more riders to make my team more balanced. Thank you I'm just looking for a steady season in CT and to slowly rebuild. Wish you every success for next season too

I think the problem you had this season was just the amount of time spent getting cav by the time you got him it was too late to build a solid team around him |

I ran out of money too, he cost me a lot in wages, I think he took up nearly half of my wage budget.

Not even close to half - only just over a quarter! 650k compared to your wage budget last season of 2.5 million.
Btw, you might want to try the Graphics forum or PMing a jersey maker to get a jersey. You won't get one by posting a request in your HQ.
