NEPCX Race 5 (Northampton) or how Italia humiliated Landbouwkrediet
Today was a good day for the team to say the least. We had brought a full strength team and some new tactics to the fore.
Soon the team was controlling the peloton in true Landbouwkrediet fashion. The pace was too high for a breakaway.
The race imploded and a gap was created. The peloton versus Team Italia. There were 70 km to go.
The Landbouwkrediet team didn't have the strength it had shown in past races with only four riders.
Their two strongest riders made a break to catch up to Italia but the gap was rapidly rising still.
I was not working when Fabio Ursi rode away on his own!
Me and Gambino hunted him down...
Dropped him...
Then I rode away on my own to the win!
The only riders in the top three were all Italians. Landbouwkrediet had seen a glimpse of a growing cyclocross force... |

@TimoCycling They sure did, in emphatic style too
@Jakstar22 Thanks. He definetly is, he'll be having his first real test in a few races time at a Superprestige race.
@lennybernstein Thanks

NEPCX - Race 6 (Northampton) or back to the norm
Here in the USA would be the first true test for Italia. We had to do well today, we were up against our arch rivals, Landbouwkrediet, again. This time, we were aiming for victory.
We hit the front early on to tire out the oppisition. Hopefully we would be able to break up the peloton before my attack.
A breakaway was formed but we knew it was all fine. We were riding a lot calmer than before and I knew that a win was on the cards provided we didn't get caught off guard by Landbouwkrediet.
We are still learning though and we managed to separate ourselves from the peloton. This was not good as it would force the Landbouwreiet team to catch us up and they would as they had more rider than us. Poor tactical move her by the team.
Soon we only had two riders left and I had no protection...
Then it was time for me and my team mate to launch a double attack.
We didn't make a big enough gap though as a Landbouwkrediet rider unexpectedly powered past me. This was awful, had I been more attentive I could've held his wheel and then attack him, winning the race.
I had to be content with second...
We need more work on this tactic. In a few days we'll try something a little different.

@ste_18 Thanks ste
@Atlantius It is, however, right now I am still yet to beat Landbouwkrediet when they have eight riders.
@Ian Buter I know! He's still not strong enough to triumph against them on his own yet. He'll try to do something next race with only one team mate.
Daggen Me too! |

Toi Toi Cup Race 5 (Louny) or No clue, find out the result yourself!
This race was interesting, a good route that would challenge me. I was looking forward to the race, mainly as I knew it would be a procession to my victory. With only nine riders participating and no Landbouwkrediet riders, I knew victory was basically assure.
I started off by upping the tempo and rode away from everyone with ninety kilometres to go. I was showing my strength and nobody was willing to chase. I didn't even go out of my comfort zone too much. A break assembled behind me and started to chase but I was too strong. Victory number three was sure to come.
And it did! I was the strongest today and everyone was cheering for me. I had lapped the peloton and I have to admit I was scared for a second when I saw the peloton right in front of me when I was about to cross the finish line, but I did it. I won, and although this picture says otherwise
I did it. Victory number three for me and now I was second on the victory list. However, all my victories were in minor races. Also, few pictures were taken for the stage. But it doesn't matter. I'm too happy to care... |

Interesting story. The CrossDB is nice to play with, but it's even nicer to read a story about it.
Great win too. |
