This is the best fantasy topic i've ever seen outhere.
Offcourse i say this because i'm a tennis trainer/coach.
LOL
Why nobody PM me about this?
LOL
I could help i think. Allthough most has been figured out i see.
different types of tennis players:
Serve specialist
Serve and volley specialist
volley specialist (these players usually do good in doubles)
Baseline player -hardcourt specialist
Baseline player -clay court specialist
different type of physical capabilities:
Long (1.90m or more)
Medium (1.80 - 1.90)
short (1.50 - 180)
Most long players are fast but have slow acceleration.
Medium could be the average.
Short players (can be fast) have better acceleration.
Players that often play (train) on clay courts usually have an advantage in endurance, because rallies on clay usually last at lot longer players develop good condition in a natural (tennis) way.
--------------------------
SP I would give long legged players an advantage in this
ACC I would give short legged players an advantage in this
HIL Endurance is very importent in the hills, So i would mostly give claycourt players an advantage in this.
MO Short height has more chance having good stats. Low weight has more chance
COB Claycourt specialist (some claycourt players can be cobble, other can be Hill)
FL Rough and tuff, i think this could be the service specialists
TT/PR Wimbledon, grass court specialist
DH Technical players that like to use the power of opponents and use it against them.
STA Most top 100 players have good endurance. It's usually about how intelligent do you approach a match, making sure you devide your energy. On clay courts, clay specialist usually do have an advantage in endurance vs other types of players.
REC Probably give the TOP 5 (ATP) an advantage in this.
RES some players can play a decent level on every type of court, give them an advantage in this stat.
FIGHTER Players that start slow, but are known to fight back in later stages of a match
**************
I wrote this stuff in the morning. Not in the best circumstances. I just woke up because i got a plumber here that's putting a new WC in my home.
Whenever i really wake up, i'll recheck if what i said here actually makes any sence

You make some good points, but:
your SP and ACC statements would result in a lack of sprinters, as one cant have long legs and short legs and an optimum sprinter eg cavendish has high SP and ACC. Nadal has good acceleration and a high speed, as does murray. MO makes sense, but how many short players in Top 20? HIL makes sense, also ones who can work in short bursts. COB, classics are like the oldest races, so maybe relate to the oldest surface (grass). STA the best claycourters, REC can be agreed, demonstrates how consistent they are over the weeks in tennis. RES how hard it is for them to crumble, and fighter is agreeable, eg djokovic is the ultimate fighter, also hewitt |

SP=Speed
ACC=Acceleration
MO=Tonicity(Kinda like how slim you are, helps with climbing)
HILower (Short punchy climbs require burst of power)
COB: Grass court presence ( Classic race, classic surface)
REC: Stamina
STA: Obvious
RES: Postioning (thanks to Ian Butler)
FL: Speed
TT/PRL: Tactics
FTR: Counter (Ability to turn match around, no matter how the odds are stacked against) kinda chavanel-esque |

Yeah, definitely. A bit the leader of the pack, too.
Nadal is more like Contador, then?
Dominating in his terrain, world class. |

I'd say a Goss-type of rider, maybe even a bit like Sagan? |
