That really was a big effort from Kirchen to nudge himself into a podium place. Of course it is now a question of keeping Davis from winning the final stage - Impey could do with stepping up.
I did predict a crash fest perhaps on the last stage hoping that having 3rd on GC may just help keep my riders from sitting at the back.

Great result for Tennant
And its the K club here then. Three K-surnames on the podium, two more in the Top 8, and another leading the Points competition.

Well, it seems like overtaking Hollister won't be as easy as I hoped for.

Nice reports.
And some good performances by Cucinotta.
But I must have been in every crash this race and Hermans managed to lose time on stupid occasions. Yet another low point race. |

Great reports, Davis did a good job there for Hollister and may have just done enough to keep them in promotion contention. |

I still refuse to believe that any of the current best 7 teams are threatened anymore, but I guess it won't take long until SN comes up with the newest rankings.

Too bad Cooke fell in final stage, but great overall performance by Bobridge, our first achieved season-goal and yet another white jersey for him Thanks for reports, quality as always!

Vespa are not amused by that. Bono falling off and Traficante losing a place on GC. Pah!
Good race though Count - enjoyed the reports.

I was waiting for the crash. Then thought, ah we're at the sprint, it wont happen. Next picture was the crash
Bonus 3rd in a sprint for Dowsett, and ending up with 3 riders in the Top 20. Shame theyre right at the bottom end

The penultimate stage race of the season is over, and Rapha have closed the gap to Jayco Red Bull to just 53 points. They look set to take 2nd place right at the end, with Blythe on a roll in Burkina Faso.
The race here was won by Kristjan Koren and Cal Giant now look secure in the Top 5 - moving away from Aker, but also due to a poor race from Pokerstars.
Allan Davis leads Hollister into the position of 7th best promotion-eligible team, but despite losing a place to Emu - who now end their season - Puma are still a threat for that position due to their sprinting prowess. Not far behind, and Trilux, Vespa and Tinkoff all moved over 3000 points.
Ferrari move into the Top 20 just at the right time, ending the hopes CSC will have had of staying there. Cyclevox are putting on a late season move aswell, overtaking Koppert having only just gone past Cerne.
Bobridge secured a Top 5 GC position for Oz, and that reduces the gap to Meiji to 61. Both teams are present in Taihu and Japan, to battle for 28th and not-last.

Definitely didn't think I'd move into the Top 20!
Would be very happy if we'd stay there.

Tbh, our battle for "not-last" is less important than Bobridge fullfilling at least one season-goal But I definitely still hope for my team being able to put some pressure on Meji, even though it should be hard to beat them in Japan..

Rapha is yours, right SN? So Jayco gets promoted regardless of whether Rapha catches them, and that's not even including possible additional promotions to flush out the PT. WOuld be happy for Levi is that happens. |

If I understood it correctly, 6 teams are definately going up, and that's discounting Rapha and Unicredit. Levi is as save as he can be.

Bianchi, Jayco, Cal Giant, Aker, Pokerstars and Venchi currently in the guaranteed promotion positions. And theyre going to be hard to catch.

Perhaps more interesting actually is the battle in the Asian Tour. Both Oz and Meiji have a Top 5 goal there, and just look how it stands:
1 | | | Jayco - Red Bull | 1850 | 2 | | | Hollister Pro Cycling | 1007 | 3 | | | Team Bianchi | 971 | 4 | | | Rapha Condor - Qhubeka | 734 | 5 | | | Oz Cycling Project | 703 | 6 | | | Meiji - Fuji | 701 | 7 | | | Team Puma - SAP | 683 | 8 | | | Ferrari - ERG | 628 | 9 | | | VolksWagen - Siemens | 590 | 10 | | | Emu Export | 556 |

Good, that means quite a few spots will probably be open in the CT for next year. I wasn't really worried about getting accepted back in, but that bodes even better. Are any PT teams coming down then? Warner Brothers is folding right? But what about Carmeuse, isn't that Crommy?

Really! Is Warner Brothers Mike's? I've forgotten who's who.
Well, if he does suspiciously well in the transfer window, we'll know why |
