Cycling for the Famiglia (Let the racing begin!)
bouyguesfan
@Ian and Sutty: Thanks guys for always followingWink

So, my net decided to work against me, even more then the organisers do in San Luis.
But, I will try to sort it out, fast.
San Luis S7 comes now.

Tour of San Luis Stage 7
i45.tinypic.com/kasd5.jpg

Finally, the stage which will decide everything, a criterium, but thanks to PCM logic it doesn't even look interesting, as I highly doubt that Nordhaug will try to get intermediate sprints.

At the very first KM we jumped in the lead, but we just couldn't prevent a break breaking free.
It contained no dangerous riders, but we had to, and actually caught them in time.
As Miholjevic had lined up for an attack, he saw Lars and started to feel anxious.
i46.tinypic.com/5vc3v5.jpg

Is there a competition for the worst picture ever? This would be a contestant.

Then, he launched himself and comfortably took the time bonification.
i50.tinypic.com/343qibl.jpg

It was not over yet, but Sky chased him down instantly, even causing a split in the peloton. At least we didn't have to set the pace. (Okay, we couldn't, because all bar Ginanni were caught in Group 2.)
As the second sprint came into sight, I heard Vlad singing in the radio, I knew, he felt confident enough.
And once again, he sprinted and won the sprint!
i45.tinypic.com/5vri88.jpg

That makes him the provisional leader. However, Lars is a potent sprinter, might been saving his energy all day...
Fumiyuki Beppu tries an attack after Sky catches Vlad for the second time.
i49.tinypic.com/30uv3hd.jpg

The Japanese is easily the most combative rider in this race.

We tried to slow the peloton down, as the Japanese champion was already far at the back, and if he wins, it will be only 2 places giving time away.
This just couldn't succeed, because Sky were not just sitting on their asses, they caught Beppu, with 15KMs to go. Nobody had the energy to attack, so the stage has came down to a mass sprint.
i46.tinypic.com/k34rv7.jpg

Yeah! Nordhaug's leadout got blocked by Troels Vinther, so Lars only managed an 8th place.

Oscar Gatto celebrating his leadoutless victory, well done for him and for us.

Stage:

I have a soft spot for Gatto, so, it felt great to see him in the podium.Smile

So, guys this was Tour of San Luis.
We had a highly successful race, but the competition was out of form, we can not expect it anymore, maybe in the early Spanish races, but I'm unsure.
Next is a short dialogue and then comes Costa d'Egli Etruschi.
Anyway; Thanks for following.Grin

Hey, Francesco!
*Francesco Di Paolo, turned back*
Yeah?
What the hell were you doing in San Luis? Did you just decide that you'll drop from the peloton?
No, I dropped back to GreenEdge.
So you did this on purpose. If you weren't the son of a mafia boss, you'd be fired, but now I...
Look, I was forming an alliance, they hate BMC just as I do, and my father does.
So, you mean that, GreenEdge knows about us?
No, they don't. But they believe that it's good to get good connections with Italian teams.
That means we are riding against BMC this year. Right?
No. Our main goal is to destroy Liquigas, they set us up last year.
What?
You don't need to know that yet, all you need is...
Love?
What the... Anyway, we have formed an alliance with GreenEdge, keep it in mind, we can rely on them and they can rely on us.
Oh, and also Nippo are helping us since the boss talked with the yakuzas.
No way, I tought that most teams are not corrupt.
Most are not, but I almost forgot, look out for Team Idea, the Ukranians want you and Danilo dead.
Oh, god...
