So, I started again with F1 2011 today, and I was leading the Australian GP in the last lap with my Virgin. Button/Webber/Alonso were on my heels. I managed to stop them for 11 laps, but in that last lap... my fuel tank was empty. So I did my normal tactic when defending a position: bash the CPU into the wall. Button, Alonso, Webber, Heidfeld and Buemi DNF, and I got a 40 sec. time penalty. Still had to let 12 guys pass though, with all the penalties I finished 19th. BTW, Rosberg won, in front of Alguersuari and Kobayashi.
First time with my X-Box since christmas...
Only game im playing is F1 2012... Its soooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun!
Started career as Force India (Legend, full simulation)
8th in Aus
2nd in a wet to dry Malaysia behind Alonso (should have won, but made the wrong tyre choice with 4 laps to go)
3rd in a wet to dry China behind Hamilton and Alonso
7th in Baharain after a 12lap battle with Raikkonen which i won
17th in Spain (caught in a crash on lap 1, lost front wing a lot of time)
The best racing i've ever experience in a game. Close battles thanks to some really good AI and physics etc. Just an awful lot of fun to play
but its keeping me away from anything PCM related
F1 2012 just gets better and better the more i play it!!!
When it rains the game just looks drop dead gorgeous, a true masterpiece.
And my career is just so much fun...
DSQ in Monaco (started 2nd, lead after 3 laps. Miss timed the pit stop thanks to a Safety Car on lap 10, before piling into a back marker at the Swimming Pool on lap 15. The DSQ for illegal blocking as i rejoined the race)
1st! in Canada (dominated the weeked with Pole and Fastest Lap)
6th in Valencia
5th in UK (with the same time as Shumi! Literally corssed the line with less than 0.001 between us!)
1st! in Germany
Sit 5th in DC with FI 5th in CC. Just rejected a contact offer from Sauber as i am holding out for Renault or No.1 with FI.
Started career with Catheram,already once 2nd,once 3rd and once 9th,3rd in overall just few points behind Seb on 2nd and Webber on 1st position,also Hamilton is sharing 3rd position with me. Game is , as TMM said,masterpiece,done perfectly in every detail!

Thats more of a general issue with modern gaming
It can be overcome by specifically setting the car up badly or limiting yourself to no overtakes on lap 1, no rich fuel, options for max 3 laps and similar

I'm by no means an expert at the driving wheel, with NfS the only racing games I played before.
It usually takes me quite some time to get into a rythm with fewer or no driving assists, and a good part of at least one practice to get the braking points and stuff spot-on, but after some hours, any race I finish is 5-10 positions too good.
On highest difficulty, that is.
(and of course with a wheel, pad or even keyboards is obviously not comparable)

Ok so for all i've been praising this game it has some massive, gigantic, gaping bugs!!
There are bugs the size of the grand-canyon and they would be game-breakers in 99% of cases.
Its been there since 2009 on the Wii and PSP... The Pit-Stop bug...
It has just ruined my entire career and i will not be returning to 2012 for a few days...
Normal stop is 3.5-4secs long. I spent 28secs stationary as 21(out of 22) cars passed me. I was leading the race, had been since Turn 1. Made one less stop than all other cars, then the safety car. When it comes out everyone is on Inters, then when it pulls in you have HAVE to pull in to fit wets. Soooo angry right now...
