For those who are new to this discussion that we have every year, it can be summed up as follows: The system is completely retarded.
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified
"I love him, I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense" - Bradley Wiggins on Lance Armstrong

I thought they made a new rule last year, which said you couldn't have more riders at start than riders scoring WT points or something? |

One rider for Slovakia at Olympics and possible 9 for the worlds. That is funny
Six would be more than enough though, but at least Sagan will have some helpers.Everybody is scared of him now with the teammates and say system is weird
JK, it really is...

I must say Nordhaug for this one, because he is clearly on of the best hill riders in the world.
Trolling?
He's average as far as I'm concerned, Top 20 at best.

I'm going to guess we should just put it down to nationalism.

Would surprise me, since he hung up his wheels after the Olympic TT.
He's thinking about riding San Sebastián, so...
What did I say?

That guy is like a cockroach. We'll never get rid of him.
I'm imagining telling my kids 'that Kazakh rider over there, he once said he retired after winning the Olympic Gold. Now, he has three.'
funny..... but not impossible

UCI Africa rankings count for quite a bit and there are quite a few .2 ranked Moroccan races (like Tour du Maroc) which are usually won by Moroccans.

Something is really wrong with the UCI. Is there a rider from Marocco in the World Tour? |

Nope. Nor any Pro Continental riders that I can think of.
Yeah, the UCI is just fucked.

At least Morroco and Slovakia are different cases, we can send at least 6 good riders.

Since Alakagom is on holiday:
But remember he could have won AGR. Plus he's the most improved Sky rider this season and as long as he continues to work with Julich he'll keep improving, definitely a rider to be taken into account.

Well kumazan, if not the fall he would have got at least Top 6 at Amstel Plus he sat on the winner wheel's when he fell, so in good position too
However LPN struggled a bit, with sickness lately too, will be intresting what can he do at Vuelta.
I think Cav for this one though, it's the one he wants this year the most I think

I'm not disputing that. Very convenient of you to come back just now, though.

I was kidding
I think it's preety obvious he has 0.000000000001 or even less of winning the race at Worlds. Just look at the course, it's a hilly monster.
