Massacre!!!
Vermote didn´t keep TOP10 overall as expected, 13th place is still decent though. Mohs eventually reached podium place in last stage. Still very disappointing race for us, only Terpstra and Vermote made it with some credit.
Thank you kumazan for incredible speed with reporting, enjoy your holliday!

Thanks for the reports, although I can't be happy at all with how that last stage unfolded.
As if we couldn't stay away from one single crash this race

A very strange race, gotta take what amounted to a fairly heavy points loss on the final day on the chin. It was far far worse for some other teams. Dazza comes home 4th after a decent showing throughout by the whole squad.
Unicredit racked up a huge amount of points - they are a soon to be defunct team so it was a question of picking up what was left over and I think Rapha and ourselves did okay.
Complete nightmare for VolksWagen of course at one stage they had the winning of this race.

This race was one of the weirdest this season imo.
For Rothaus only negatives here.
Seems like I was in every crash and every split on every stage...and even defending a 15th overall was not possible.
Not being in any break that made it to the finish, so I can of course forget a high GC result...
Vantomme wouldn`t be much better than 8th even with a good positioning. Totally rubbish he is in the Man Game obviously although his stats are nearly the same then Cavendish`s who is at least a bit more successful.
At least it was enjoyable to read the reports in general. Good job. |

How the hell did Bellis win the Tour of Britain
Brilliant result for Rapha, winning the race we would most like to win - though purely for the *skill* (luck) of Bellis avoiding misfortune, rather than the preferred method of him actually doing something positive!
And Kennaugh finally did something right too on one of the stages
Nice reports kumazan, that last stage must have been a nightmare

Incredible racing on stage 6, in what looked like really tough conditions. Great reporting all the way, I especially enjoyed stage 6. A shame lots of riders went down on a dramatic final stage, but it was obviously meant to be for Smowz and his Jayco - Red Bull, after voodooing my team the whole Tour of America.
Nice win for Bellis, though I'm sure that wasn't really the way he wanted to win it. Anyway, it has been an incredible season for him, and to top it off like that on home soil must be great for Rapha.

I wouldn't just call it "something right", really. He was so much faster than the others that it looked like he was facing D2 opposition there.
And yeah, the last stage was crazy, specially since the crash was in the very front, meaning many important riders went down. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that massive pile-up.
