Saxo Tinkoff working in the peloton now. Punishment for not having anyone in the breakaway?
Narh. Bjarne Riis just wants the breakaway to let Nicki come up to them, otherwise they will (try) to catch the breakaway. Obv he told that to the DS from the teams in front.

Well, it just forces the breakaway to wait for Sørensen.
Good point lets see if it works... |

Makes sense, I thought Sorensen was further from the breakaway. And it worked.

... And Bjarne Riis/Saxo Bank wins the little battle. He is so smart, Riis. |

Brilliant by Riis. What a smart way to get what you want. |

Eurosport worked it out in the end thanks to Sean Kelly, Phil and Paul are still confused. |

Looks like a procession for a while now so...
Rolland still seriously denying he knew nothing was up when he attacked yesterday. Ok when he went initially on the descent but when I came in they were well over the top and I turn on the TV watching them freewheel thinking "what's with the freewheeling, soemthing must be up". Then he puts in another attack.
So me a veritable amateur watching on TV reads it better than him in the midst of the pack? Hmmm....no language barrier can explain that.
Of course whether it's wrong to attack is a different debate but denying he knew anything seems a bit far fetched. Think he belatedly got ordered back to avoid a PR disaster or did they have to ride him all the way down?

Cavendish apparently wants to have a go at it today. I wonder what Voeckler has to say after the stage. |

He could be good today, but i believe in Greipel and Sagan much more on this profile, but maybe Cav is starting to heat his climbing legs for London.
I would be glad for the mass sprint...

Some undulating terrain here, apparently amounts to nearly 2500m of vertical ascent on what is a "flat" day. |

I doubt that Cav would stand a good chance as well. He shouldn't with the amount of work he has had to do the last week.
Question now is whether Lotto and Orica will bite the bait and help Sky - or if they will play it cool and wait for the last 30 kms. |
