Vespa and especially Venchi made a big breakthrough into battle for promotion here! Vespa can´t promote though, right?

Catastrophic race
Vespa can promote, but then CdC will either disband or relegate ;-)

Average race for Rapha. Froome taking 9th and Kennaugh continuing to be sub-par. Very bad by Dowsett aswell.
Ranking points
Team Bianchi | 338 | Team Venchi ProCycling | 313 | Team Trilux - Falke | 300 | Vespa - Aprilia - De Rosa | 262 | UniCredit | 190 | T.CS Bank - OJSC Rosneft | 159 | California Giant Berry Farms-Specialized | 138 | Rapha Condor - Qhubeka | 101 | Cyclevox | 84 | VolksWagen - Siemens | 71 | Saab-Scania | 67 | Ferrari - ERG | 63 | Proximus - Trek | 50 | Team Rothaus - Aegon | 41 | Koppert Cycling Team | 34 | Oz Cycling Project | 24 | Team Puma - SAP | 12 |
What odds would you get for Vespa winning a HC stage race, yet losing a position in the team standings? Well, it has happened! Having only just claimed the lead, Bianchi have been quick to extend it. Not having the stength in depth could be letting Vespa down as Trilux outscore them, while Venchi also firmly establish themselves in the promotion hunt. 8th and 13th separated by barely 100 points!
A gap is starting to emerge below the Top 13 aswell, while Oz have passed the 1000 point mark!

True - Bosisio crashing didn't help the team much in picking up a few more points here but outside of our two leaders we've not really done much. |

Quite a surprise to see my team overtaking Vespa and creating sucha big gap to the lower ranks. Venchi continues to collect (too) many points.
How many teams will promote to the World Tour?

Nothing to get from Poland, which was expected.
The gap to 13th place suddenly got huge, but thinking of battle for that would be far too optimistic. 400 points to 20th seems safe, and that's quite a good result after all.

Minimum 4.
But Nestle and Webeffect are likely to finish above the PT relegation zone, yet disband - so that makes it up to 6.
So assuming all other PT teams continue, the likely answer is 6 - so at the moment that is Bianch, Hayco, Cal Giant, Aker, Pokerstars and Venchi.

After all these years I finally get close, then you go and jinx it

Ah, a nice hole for me to fall into!
Bianchi have made a huge late run and could well take the rankings. After the start of the season I don't think anyone saw someone other than Rapha winning this.

Would be really nice if Rapha could win it, since my planned squad for next year certainly won't - but Bianchi do have a lot of strength in depth, and they were my pre-season prediction for the top, so it will be tough to haul them back now that theyre on a roll
