Well this u23 tour was bugged and so we go on to our next 2 races of which the latter one is a sponsorgoal (top10)
We take a semi-strong squad here to Serbia for the 1 day race known as the Beograd - Cacak race, at first we decide that we rather want to be in a winning break than to let Stybar try his luck in the final sprint. So therefore we get Soukop and Kesl in the break of 11 but unfortunately the gap stays around 4 mins the whole time and so when I notice that the break is useless I use Danculovic to pull the pack on the only climb of the day so that some of the sprinters will lose contact to the pack. The break is caught and even thought guys like Hochmann, Maksimov and Ilesic are still present it seems that only Stybar and Kocjan will probably have some power left after Danculovic pulled hard on the climb of the day. And this is indeed true, Kocjan and Stybar sprint away but in the end our captain lacks the true sprinters legs to finish it off and so the talented Slovenian takes the win in Serbia
Jure Kocjan wins in Cacak in front of Stybar and Hochmann
Result:
01. Jure Kocjan RADENSKA POWERBAR 3h27'42
02. Zdenek Stybar AC SPARTA PRAHA s.t.
03. Jíri Hochmann ASC DUKLA PRAHA s.t.
04. Roman Maksimov MOSCOW STARS s.t.
05. Aldo-Ino Ilesic PERUTNINA PTUJ s.t.
06. Bartosz Wujczak MAPAMAP - BANTPROFI s.t.
07. Matej Marin PERUTNINA PTUJ s.t.
08. Vojtech Dlouhý PSK WHIRLPOOL HRADEC KRALOVE s.t.
09. Mikhail Timochine MAPAMAP - BANTPROFI s.t.
10. Ruslan Grychenko MAPAMAP - BANTPROFI s.t.
Now off to Slovakia where we need to get a top 10 placement
We bring our strongest riders here and so a top 10 seems certain already, the race consists of 3 laps and on every climb everyone except Stybar and Bole do their work in order to get rid of as many riders as they can and since the field only consists of 47 riders it is only a matter of time before a small group of only the strongest riders is formed. When they enter the final lap (1 lap is 60 kms) 18 riders are left over of which 5 are from our team. 4 riders join them but then on the final climb everything breaks loose and Bencik attacks, Bole reacts but he is a tad too late and while the pack , which now exists out of 13 riders with only Stybar for Sparta Praha, is close to catching Bole in the final km it is Bencik who takes the win here. Stybar wins the sprint and ends 2nd. Bole cracks and sees Kocjan and Kozubek pass him, he would end 5th. But on the bright side, we completed our 2nd sponsorgoal (our first one, KOM jersey in that u23 tour which Stybar won was not acknowledged by the sponsors  )
Left: 18 men go into the final lap, Right: Petr Bencik wins after a nice solo effort!
Result:
01. Petr Bencik PSK WHIRLPOOL HRADEC KRALOVE 5h12'05
02. Zdenek Stybar AC SPARTA PRAHA s.t.
03. Jure Kocjan RADENSKA POWERBAR s.t.
04. Stanislav Kozùbek PSK WHIRLPOOL HRADEC KRALOVE s.t.
05. Grega Bole AC SPARTA PRAHA s.t.
06. Jakub Danacik PSK WHIRLPOOL HRADEC KRALOVE s.t.
07. Piotr Przydzial DYNATEK s.t.
08. Juraj Sagan DUKLA TRENCIN MERIDA s.t.
09. Valeri Valinin MOSCOW STARS s.t.
10. Bostjan Rezman RADENSKA POWERBAR s.t.

A small field in Austria gets ready for the Giro di Festina Salzkammergut. In the early morning 2 riders take off, Jiri Sibl and Vojtech Hacecky are the 2 Czech's who think they stand a chance. Their lead reaches 10 mins when the pack reacts but suddenly with 40 kms to go the pac cracks and their lead increases and stays 5 mins...the sprinter teams give up and surprisingly either Sibl or Hacecky will win here. They fight for every inch and in the end Hacecky takes the win.
Left: Hacecky and Sibl start their adventure, Right: Hacecky takes a surprising win!
Result:
01. Vojtech Hacecký ASC DUKLA PRAHA 4h35'13
02. Jiri Sibl NCH TEAM CUBE s.t.
03. Jochen Summer ELK HAUS - SIMPLON + 2'14
04. Werner Riebenbauer TEAM VOLKSBANK s.t.
05. Gerrit Glomser TEAM VOLKSBANK s.t.
06. Zdenek Stybar AC SPARTA PRAHA s.t.
07. Jíri Hochmann ASC DUKLA PRAHA s.t.
08. Tomas Konecny ELK HAUS - SIMPLON s.t.
09. Patrick Riedesser TEAM VOLKSBANK s.t.
10. Michal Kesl AC SPARTA PRAHA s.t.
We were determined not to be surprised again like we were in Austria yesterday and so we want to get 1 guy in the break even though it looks chanceless at first. 7 riders form a nice break in which Krotky is present for Sparta. And since the pack only exists out of 42 riders they cant get em back, Krotky gets into the wheel of Vojtech Hackecky who won the Giro di Festina Salzkammergut yesterday! It would be amazing if he could do a double but Krotky doesnt want to make that happen, however in the sprint he is too weak and ends 4th, Olejniczak and Rus end respectively 3rd and 2nd. The win in Slovakia is for...
Left: Krotky is wellpositioned, Right: Deja Vu?
Result:
01. Vojtech Hacecký ASC DUKLA PRAHA 4h13'54
02. Florjan Rus RADENSKA POWERBAR s.t.
03. Karol Olejniczak MAPAMAP - BANTPROFI s.t.
04. Rostislav Krotky AC SPARTA PRAHA s.t.

06. Sergei Valinin MOSCOW STARS s.t.
07. Jakub Danacik PSK WHIRLPOOL HRADEC KRALOVE + 3'38
08. Jíri Hochmann ASC DUKLA PRAHA s.t.
09. Jure Kocjan RADENSKA POWERBAR s.t.

Well not the most exciting race, but to gain promotion we want to subscribe to atleast 2 extra races each month, The Tour Down Under didnt want us so Qatar it will be
Haussler and Serebriakov are our main sprinters here with Saramotins perhaps for the top 15. In this TTT we did quite well, we had some timetrialers such as Rovny and Martin but also some who didnt do quite well. We ended 9th at 49 seconds in the end, the winners were AG2R who were by far the strongest
Result:
01. AG2R PRÉVOYANCE 7'25
02. GEROLSTEINER + 16
03. SKIL - SHIMANO + 18
04. LIQUIGAS s.t.
05. T-MOBILE TEAM + 34
06. AGRITUBEL s.t.
07. RABOBANK + 41
08. QUICK STEP - INNERGETIC s.t.
09. AC SPARTA PRAHA + 49
10. PREDICTOR - LOTTO s.t.
The first flat stage with alot of sand, we will see more of that troughout this tour but this first stage did have some action! 6 guys took off in the hot Qatarian desert and when we entered the city Schreck decided to do it on his own with 3 kms to go...the pack was going trough the corners at top speed and of course this meant a crash, 2 Spartans were involved, Saramotins and Serebriakov and also the leader Mangel was down.
Left: The riders get up from a nasty crash, Right: Schreck, will he make it?
Schreck made it past the 1 km sign but was then taken down by the sprinters, Haussler was still present as he wasnt in the big train that caused the crash but instead he was behind Hayman and Van Heeswijk who now had a small lead, Haussler sprinted past Van Heeswijk...could this already be our first win!?!
Ah! Putsep surprises Heinrich by taking the win on the other side of the road!
Result:
01. Erki Pütsep BOUYGUES TELECOM 3h00'20
02. Heinrich Haussler AC SPARTA PRAHA s.t.
03. Matteo Tosatto QUICK STEP - INNERGETIC s.t.
04. Francesco Chicchi LIQUIGAS s.t.
05. Fabio Sabatini TEAM MILRAM s.t.
06. Steve Schets CHOCOLADE JACQUES - TOPSPORT VLAANDEREN s.t.
07. René Haselbacher ASTANÁ s.t.
08. Fabio Sacchi TEAM MILRAM s.t.
09. Max van Heeswijk RABOBANK s.t.
10. Mauro Facci QUICK STEP - INNERGETIC s.t.
Mondory is the new leader
This stage wasnt as action packed as yesterday's one, only 3 riders went on an adventure today which ended 50 kms before the finish in Khalifa. No crashes today and so some sprinters that missed out on yesterday's sprint got their chance today. Haussler and Serebriakov tried their best but both couldnt reach the podium. The number 11 and 13 from yesterday would fight it out for the win. Clerc vs. Van Hummerl!
Van Hummel takes the win and the lead! Serebriakov ends 4th and Haussler 6th
Result:
01. Kenny van Hummel SKIL - SHIMANO 3h02'06
02. Aurélien Clerc BOUYGUES TELECOM s.t.
03. Erki Pütsep BOUYGUES TELECOM s.t.
04. Aleksandr Serebriakov AC SPARTA PRAHA s.t.
05. Max van Heeswijk RABOBANK s.t.
06. Heinrich Haussler AC SPARTA PRAHA s.t.
07. Matteo Tosatto QUICK STEP - INNERGETIC s.t.
08. Alex Rasmussen AGRITUBEL s.t.
09. Francesco Chicchi LIQUIGAS s.t.
10. Fabio Sabatini TEAM MILRAM s.t.
Van Hummel now has a 2 second lead over the whole AG2R squad

Before giving you the last 3 stages from the Tour of Qatar I first want to announce 2 sponsors who will help us financially and this is greatly appreciated
Especially Skoda will boost our income while Gatorade will not only pay us, they will also give us free Gatorade to use in all of our races --8) (I might ask mr. stinger if he can put these 2 sponsors on my jersey.
Another one for the sprinters, however today that would be different because a break actually made it quite far. A group of 6 which seemed harmless stays up front for a long time but then with 1 km to go it seems they will be caught, however one of the riders doesnt agree with this and gives it 1 more try!
Vandousselaere attacks and Mizourov is the first to react with 1 km to go! (pack is just around the corner)
The pack and the fellow breakaway riders get closer to the Chocolade Jacques rider and then out of nowhere Frederic Amorison jumps out of the group and gets closer and closer...a Belgian will win today but who?
Left: Amorison is coming!, Right: Vandousselaere gets rewarded with the win as Amorison comes too late
Result:
01. Sven Vandousselaere CHOCOLADE JACQUES - TOPSPORT VLAANDEREN 3h02'27
02. Frédéric Amorison TEAM MILRAM s.t.
03. Hassan Maleki ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY CYCLING TEAM s.t.
04. David de la Fuente SAUNIER DUVAL - PRODIR s.t.
05. Alex Rasmussen AGRITUBEL s.t.
06. Kenny van Hummel SKIL - SHIMANO s.t.
07. Fred Rodriguez PREDICTOR - LOTTO s.t.
08. Lloyd Mondory AG2R PRÉVOYANCE s.t.
09. Andrei Mizourov ASTANÁ s.t.
10. Sven van den Houte MURPHY & GUNN - NEWLYN - M.DONNELLY - SEAN KELLY s.t.
12. Heinrich Haussler AC SPARTA PRAHA s.t.
Boring stage, even though the break made it yesterday no one even tries something today. The sprint will decide the winner and the one who was first behind the breakaway riders yesterday wins it today!
Alex Rasmussen wins in Messaied, Mondory takes over the lead from Van Hummel
Result:
01. Alex Rasmussen AGRITUBEL 3h36'34
02. Lloyd Mondory AG2R PRÉVOYANCE s.t.
03. Aurélien Clerc BOUYGUES TELECOM s.t.
04. Max van Heeswijk RABOBANK s.t.

09. Francesco Chicchi LIQUIGAS s.t.
10. Erki Pütsep BOUYGUES TELECOM s.t.

Wow, a 2nd season with the Giant really is awesome --8)
We bring a very strong team to this race and looking at the competition Haussler should win a mass sprint with ease considering that there are some hills which will tire out all the sprinters probably except for him. But guys like Rovny, Martin and Kvasina will also get the freedom to attack on the final 2 climbs to make sure that if a break makes it that we are in it. 4 riders break away in the early morning, Mario Ickx, Fabian Patanchon, Guillame Levarlet and Nicola Rousseau are the names. However when we are halfway they are already caught, with 34 kms to go Roche, Roesems, Schreck and Renier attack and Martin decides to go after them, the 5 get a nice lead but then they are descending towards the final climb they only have 29 seconds.
Left: The early morning break, Right: 4 veterans and a young gun up front
On the final climb the pack really starts chasing, so hard that even Haussler has to do some effort now to stay up front but luckily for him the final real sprinters are all in the back of the pack now. Martin then takes over in the break...but then he looks behind him he sees that he has gotten rid of the 4 others who are now almost caught by the pack. In the pack Rovny decides to counter attack Klimov who doesnt get away but however Rovny suddenly gets a boost and reaches Martin in no time with some energy left over. On the top with 3 kms to go they have a small lead but it could be enough for a 1-2...but there is still 1 sprinter who could 'ruin' their party, Haussler! --8)
Left: Martin gives the oldies something to think about, Right: Rovny and Martin on their way to victory?
1 km to go and the pack is getting closer, close enough for a real sprinter to still take them down. I can tell Haussler to do nothing but when he asks me whether he should sit still or sprint I tell him: 'Sprint, and may the best man win' So Haussler sprints and quickly takes over Geslin...
Wow! 3 Spartans up front!
a few metres further he takes down Martin who has met the man with the hammer...sees Rovny and gets closer and closer...it will be a 1-2 and both guys will certainly be happy afterwards but who takes home the win?
Haussler shows some killer instinct by taking the win on the line!
Result:
01. Heinrich Haussler AC SPARTA PRAHA 3h32'39
02. Ivan Rovny AC SPARTA PRAHA s.t.
03. Anthony Geslin BOUYGUES TELECOM + 11
04. Tony Martin AC SPARTA PRAHA s.t.
05. Laurent Mangel AG2R PRÉVOYANCE s.t.
06. Nicolas Jalabert AGRITUBEL s.t.
07. Vasili Kiryenka TINKOFF CREDIT SYSTEMS s.t.
08. Sergei Klimov TINKOFF CREDIT SYSTEMS s.t.
09. Ludovic Turpin AG2R PRÉVOYANCE s.t.
10. Cédric Coutouly AGRITUBEL s.t.
Up next, Neretva Kup 1 & 2!
