I don't think he has been mentioned yet but he would need a review even though there are some doping accusations planing on him in real life.
There are no longer. 2 times it was UCI`s fault, the 3rd time some internet problem. So I agree that he might need a small boost although not too much as it`s still an one-hit-wonder so far.
Can't check right now because CQ is down but I remember him getting quite often in top 10s in the sprint stages of the Tour de France. I wouldn't call that one his wonder. But regarding his Paris-Roubaix performane he has been indeed one hit wonder on the cobbles.
Czech and Slovak Riders
(they all have a really small number of results, because basically all Czech teams are in real cycling almost non-existent or they have really bad racing calendar)
Petr Vakoc - Czech Republic - 11/07/1992
15th in the Under 23 Worlds in 2011 in Kobenhavn and 13th in U23 version of LBL which underlines that this rider is mainly hilly rider with a solid sprint with an ability to help teammates in other terrains as well. One of the best Czech youngsters in this moment, he will almost sure get a pro contract in the end of this season, in my opinion, he is currently the 2nd best top Czech talent.
Martin Hunal - Czech Republic - 08/09/1989
3rd overall in An Post Rast (2012) with a solid 25th place in last year's Rund in Koln. He is climber/puncheur, he is currently the main 'star' of AC Sparta Praha. He isn't so great talent, but he possibly should have a potential to be a good helper in a pro cycling team.
Jiri Hudecek - Czech Republic - 19/05/1986
Currently the best rider of the best Czech cycling team Whirpool-Author. He was 3rd last year in Czech Cycling Tour, 9th in Tour de Slovakia, he is the current Czech National Time Trial Champion (when he beated Jan Barta) and this year, he was 5th in Polish race 'Szlakiem Grodow Piastowskich'. Basically, that shows that his main strenght is time trial and he can definetely get himself over some mountains and hills, in the other hand, he is a really bad sprinter.
Tomas Danacik - Czech Republic - 24/10/1990
He is already in DB, but he definetely should get an upgrade. He doesn't have a real speciality, but he is way better talent than he is in database in this moment. He is a really solid and useful helper for both Whirpool-Author and U23 Czech National Team. His best result is 8th place in last year's edition of GP Kranj.
David Dvorsky - Czech Republic - 11/06/1992
His best result of his career is 2nd place in a stage of Tour of Slovakia last year. he is quite similar type of rider to Tomas Danacik, he is good helper in both Whirpool-Author and U23 Czech National Team as well. His main speciality should be breakaways, as he is trying to attack really often. He is all-around type of rider as well.
Jakub Kratochvila - Czech Republic - 26/08/1988
4th in Tour of Hellas last year, 5th this year, 3rd in Ljubljana - Zagreb last year as well, where he beated some really good riders from real and Man-Game as well. He isn't only riding for Austrian teams like Jan Barta used to race, but he is quite similar to him with his riding abilities as well. In other words, possibly next Jan Barta.
Then there are some Slovakian riders, which could be possibly added, but I don't know much about them. But still I think it would be nice to see some Slovakian talents in the game as well. Marek Canecky - Slovakia - 17/06/1988 Michael Kolar - Slovakia - 21/12/1992
Some really well-known random guys who are sadly missing
Gorka Izagirre - Spain - 07/10/1987
12th in Tour Down Under, 18th in Tour de Suisse, 65th in Tour de France, a stage win in Tour of Luxembourg. Another young talent from Euskadi.
Ion Izagirre - Spain - 04/09/1989
17th in Tour de Pologne, 15th in Gent-Wevelgem, time trial win in Vuelta a Asturias, 48th place overall in Giro d'Italia where he achieved the biggest result of his career, a stage win. The next big Basque thing.
Daniel Oss - Italy - 13/01/1987
Sprinter and strong guy to classics: 4 top ten stage results in last year's TdF and 9th in Milano San Remo this year are most probably his best results
Mateusz Taciak - Poland - 19/06/1984
He had some good results last and this season, 3rd places in Tour of Qinghai Lake and Szlakiem Grodow Piastowskich being the best. He should be an all-around rider/helper.
I noticed Eneco posted the 3 talents from Norway, but I'll re-post them, and add a couple of others, as the Norwegian youngsters are really talented, and the future of Norwegian cycling does no doubts look good.
Daniel Hoelgaard - Norway - 1/7/1993
He just came home from a training camp with Omega Pharma - Quickstep, where he also was asked about a future on their U23-team. He got their attention due to 2 wins in a row in Kermesse races in April in Belgium. And it wasn't like it was luck that made him win two in a row. In the second Kermesse he was up against 3 Belgians, but he controlled them pretty nicely, with one of them being Joseph (Topsport). In addition to the mentioned Kermesse races, he won the junior national championship RR in his first year as a junior, after breaking away in the last kilometers. He was also 7th in Copenhagen last year, after riding aggressively the whole race, and still being able to sprint to a top 10. He's a strong rider, with a great sprint. He handles the hill quite well aswell, and is considered a strong rouleur with a great sprint.
Sondre Holst Enger - Norway - 17/12/1993
He's a sprinter, but just as Hoelgaard, he handles hills well, and also has a strong motor, which his 10th place in last year's TT for juniors in Copenhagen shows. This year he has developed a lot compared to last year, and he has proved himself in the sprints, with 4th on the 1st stage of Tour of Norway, and 3rd, 4th and 6th on 3 different stages in Tour du Loir-et-Cher, thanks to his sprint.
Sven Erik Bystrøm - Norway - 21/1/1992
He's labelled the "new Boasson Hagen." It's quite a statement, and he's a bit off such a talent, though, he's still an extremely promising rider. He showed his strength in last year's Norwegian championship in Kermesse, where he attacked solo and held off Kristoff and others for the win. This year he won Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfurt U23. I suspect he'll develop as a hilly rider, as his sprint isn't good enough for the bunch sprints, and his pure climbing skills haven't proved good enough on the longer climbs. However, he stated earlier this year that he hopes to take a medal in U23 in Limburg this year, despite only having his 2nd year as a senior, as the course suits him well.
Bjørn Tore Hoem - Norway - 12/4/1991
One of the biggest climbing talents in Norway. He has been ill and got this year's season destroyed so far due to illness. However, he proved himself last year. He's from the same area as Arvesen, and he proved his climbing talent in Czech Cycling Tour last year, where he ended 6th overall.
Lorents Ola Aasvold - Norway - 9/8/1988
He won the Norwegian National Cup both in 2010 and 2009 (last year it was won by Bystrøm), which proved his talent, as he wasn't on a continental team back then, and was still able to win it. As a rider, he's a stage racer, which his 9th place overall in Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour in 2011, and his 12th place overall in Tour of Bulgaria (2011) show.
Fredrik Strand Galta - Norway - 19/10/1992
He's arguably Norway's biggest climbing talent, and as a rider type, he's a true climber. He has few results to show as he's troubled with a lot of sickness, but he grabbed 5th on stage 5 in Toscana - Coppa delle Nazioni this year, which was held on many of the same roads/climbs as Strade Bianche. He also came close to the stage win on stage 4, which ended with a tough climb, but he was caught with 150 meters to the line, and ended 14th on that stage.
Markus Hoelgaard - Norway - 4/10/1994
He's Daniel Hoelgaard's little brother, and he's another talented Norwegian. This year he has been Norway's by far strongest rider in the Nations Cup for juniors, which he underlined with a 5th in Paris - Roubaix for juniors. He was also 5th overall in Tour of Istria, where he actually was on his way to the overall victory, but a mechanical forced him to forget about that. As a rider, he's a strong rouleur who I suspect will focus on stage races later in his career. His time trial abilites are very good when considering there's no velodrome in Norway, and he has a 13th place on the TT in Trofeo Karlsberg, and a 21th place on the TT in Course de la Paix. He was also on the recent training camp with OPQS.
Kristoffer Skjerping - Norway - 4/5/1993
He's another talent born in 1993, and he's just like other Norwegians, a strong rouleur. He can also handle the time trial bike, which his 17th in Copenhagen (juniors) last year shows. This year he got 2nd and 5th on 2 stages in Tour du Loir-et-Cher, and he had 2 top 5's in Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour, which he ended 15th overall. A strong rouleur with a decent sprint, which saw him outsprint Holst Enger in the fight for 2nd place in this year's Ringerike GP, behind M. Rasmussen, who won the race.

He's a very good climber but he can do well in stage races as well. He turned pro last year, but that didn't stop him finishing on high places in the national championships since 2007 (when he was only 15). He had good results in national races on road as well as cyclo cross and velodrome. Sadly he doesn't have any international performances but that's because so far he has been focused on races held in Romania.

He has had some very good results and is very high in the Asia Tour Rankings, especially for being a 21 year old. He could probably use some small stats boosts.
Tomohiro Kinoshita - Japan - 19-04-1991 (21 Years)
He has only had a few decent results but the biggest was winning the U23 Asian Cycling Championships, which would involve a bit of sprinting and hilly riding. I hope you can include him in the db for next season, as he is one of Japan's most promising riders by the looks of it.

What do the guys at disbanded Div2 teams count as, for reference? Free Agents or not?
Confirmed free agents are all current free agents + riders on the disbanded D2 teams + riders from Domina Vacanze and Bimbo Nutella
Theres a few more teams aswell, in PT and CT which are likely to be disbanded upon the end of the season. Im sure some people will be able to guess which they might be.

So here i am with some exotic arabian riders, they have not great results, but it would be nice to have some in the game on at least a bit competitive level.
If i am right, there are not any rider from United Arab Emirates, so if it is even possible to include the new nation...
BANIHAMMAD Yousif Mirza - UAE - 08/10/1988
- National Road race champion in 2010
- National TT champion in 2011 and 2012
- 3rd at Emirates Post Tour in 2008
- 3rd at Arab Gulf Cycling Championship TT
Looks like a solid all-around stage racer to me, with good flat, hilly and especially TT abilities as he was also present at Track WCH at Melbourne this year, only one from UAE. https://www.cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/...derid=9463
BANIHAMMAD Badr Mohamed Mirza - UAE - 07/01/1984
Similar name, but different rider from UAE.
- 3rd at National champs road race in 2007,2nd in TT and 7th at Asian champs that year.
- National TT champion in 2008 and 2009 and won Vice-president cup in 2008
- National road race champion in 2011 and 2012.
Similar rider to Yousif, but maybe better sprinter and worse puncher. These two are the only usable riders from UAE,as you see they are winning the national champs for many years. https://www.cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/...derid=5681
Now some ukrainians that are not in the database yet...
PAKTHUSOV Anatoliy - Ukraine - 17/04/1985
- 2009 he was 7th at Tartu GP, 12th at Neuseen Classics - Rund um die Braunkohle and 22nd overall at Tour of Qinghai Lake in colours of ISD Sport Donetsk.
- 2011 2nd in one of the stages of An Post Ras and 2nd overall there. Also he finished 2nd at Ukraine NC RR. That year he was at ISD-Lampore conti as he is now.
- 2012 He has won a stage at GP Sochi and finished 3rd overall.
Very good rider from ISD-Lampre conti. He is strong all-arounder,good puncher and TT as almost every ukrainian. He is also good sprinter in small groups.
- 2009 he won Tour of Szeklerland overall and one stage there and was 4th at Tallinn - Tartu GP
- 2010 was his best year with overall wins at GP Donetsk, GP Adygeya, Rogaland GP and he won both RR and TT at Ukraine NCs!
- 2012 he won GP of Moscow and Race Horizon Park in Ukraine.
A good sprinter, Yates won a bunch sprint on stage 6 of the Tour de l'Avenir last year as well as coming 3rd in an earlier stage. He's also a generally strong rider on the flat, winning the Twinings Tour Premier Calendar race by breaking away and outsprinting his breakaway partner. He also managed 9th overall in the Thuringen U23 Rundfahrt, TTing well and getting over the hills. He also gained 3rd in the team pursuit at the Beijing World Cup with Team GB last year and was crowned British Madison Champion in 2012. In 2010 he won the National Junior Road Series, including wins at the Somerset RR and the Tom Simpson Memorial.
Joshua Edmondson - 06-07-1992
A strong rider in the hills who also packs a good punch in the sprints, Edmondson came 4th in the 2010 Junior World Championships on a hilly route round Offida. He also performed consistently throughout 2009 and 2010 in the British Junior Road Race Series, including the overall at the Isle of Man Youth Tour in 2010. He became only the second junior (after Steve Cummings) to win the Eddie Soens Memorial, winning the sprint after his breakaway group held off the senior pros. Raced in Italy last year, showing his climbing ability by taking 4th in a race that finished up Monte Grappa and antoher 4th in the Trofeo Briga, all while riding for his team leader.
Keiran Frend - 22/3/1989
Climber and puncheur who rode in France last year. Was successful, taking top multiple top 5s and top 10s in tough French races, including summit finishes and GC placings (eg 7th in Boucles du Haut Var). Riding for Node 4 Giordana this year but has had little racing due to their focus on Tour Series, but came 5th overall in the Tour of the North behind two team-mates and 2nd in the Shay Elliot Memorial, behind team-mate Phil Lavery.
Sam Harrison - 24-06-1992
GB Olympic hopeful, Harrison has most of his history on the track, although he has also had success on tarmac. Won the Omnium at the Beijing Track World Cup at just 18 years of age and has performed well for GB in team pursuits. In 2010 he was 7th at Junior Paris-Roubaix and in 2009 he came second at the Junior Tour of Wales. Has won Belgian kermesses and looks to be another track rider turned strong sprinter/Geraint Thomas type on the road.
Ajay Pandit Chhetri is a mountainbiker who has won a bunch of tough mountain bike stage races including 3 editions of the Hercules MTB Race, 3 editions of the Yak Attack stage race through the Himalayas and a 2nd overall last year in the TransWales, including 2 stage wins, one of which where he smashed the course record on the climb. Could be a good climber.
Rafael Andriato (20/10/1987) - Brazil
He's a good sprinter, who won a lot of races in his earlier years in Brazil, and has some good results in .2 races in Italy. This year he won the Jurmala GP (1.1). Probably the next Murilo Fischer.
Meran Russan (12/03/1987) - Eritrea
This fellow has a lot of top10s in african stage-races to his name. He also usually places himself pretty well in the national and continental championships. Winner of last year's Tour of Eritrea and 2nd in this year's Amissa Bongo.
Nikita Umerbekov (14/09/1991) - Kazakhstan
A young rider with some interesting results, namely a stage win in Amissa Bongo (beating Voeckler!) and an overall 4th place. He has also some good results in .2 and .NC races. I'd classify him as an aggressive rider, a stage-hunter, maybe a puncheur.
Reda Aadel (28/10/1990) - Morocco
A reasonable rider who typically reaches the top10 in Moroccan one-day races, having recently beaten Chaoufi and Jelloul in one of those. He's also broken into the top10 in Bongo. He seems to be a decent sprinter with some hilly capacity.
Yves Ngue Ngock (25/01/1989) - Cameroon
Another african youngster, with some talent, given he's won the 2 home stae-races: Tour du Cameroun and GP Chantal Biya. He also was 5th in Tour du Faso in 2010. I believe he's a good in the flat, so I'd say he's a good rouleur with a decent sprint.
Chun Kai Feng (02/11/1988) - Taiwan
Typical asian rider with median results in flat stages, but he is a 3-time national champion, so I figured he could feature in the Man-Game as a low class sprinter.
Rafael Silva (14/11/1990) - Portugal
He's one of the most consistent riders of the u23 class in home races, so he's probably the only portuguese rider worth adding to the DB this season. I think he's a sprinter with a good ability to overcome the hills.
Young rider doing well on the French circuit - second in the easier stage in the Tour of the Haur Var. Has a good kick as shown when 3rd in the first stage of the Crit International. 15th at the recent Tour of Norway showing some good climbing legs.
Kiwi classics specialist really excels on hilly terrain, riding with a Belgian squad this season and won the hilly Triptyque Ardennais stage race as well as the Grand Prix Criquielion in Belgiam as well, so can handle cobbles too. But more likely to become a good hilly classics/decent climber.
Kiwi endurance track rider, who took a stage in the FBD Ras last year. His track background suggest he is a solid TTer (with decent team pursuit results), also rides the Madison. A good rouler.
Winner of the 2011 Tour of Southland, picked up by the Livestrong team and rode in the break on the opening stage of this years Tour of California. A good climber, probably of small hills was at California to support Lawson Craddock.
A decent domestique who's best discipline is against the clock, no really huge results to speak clearly climbs well enough to be of service to Liquigas in 2011 at Catalunya and the Dauphine. There are a lot of decent Aussies around I'll admit but Wurf probably would have a TT of around 74 which would make him reasonably valuable.
A good punchaer with some decent results on the tougher stages of the Tour of Wellington and won a stage in the Giro del Fruili stage race (again a hilly one).
Second in the time trial at Langkawi to Zabriskie this year. A stage racer who favours the rides against the clock - 3rd in this years Fleche de Sud nehind Jungels.
Hi, would like to help even though not in the game, always see a lot of new emerging riders. Having a look at your Aussie riders. Riders not in the database and some Smowz hasn't mention:
Seriously huge climbing talent from Aus on the Chipotle Development team. Not really in favour with Cycling Australia but those that have seem him know his potential ability in the mountains could rival Evans.
Next talent in the emerging production line that is Genesys in the Aussie NRS/Asian Tour. Very fast sprinter, perhaps slightly slower in current speed than Steel Van Hoff.
An emerging talented stage racer, rather raw but he's had results at lower levels for 2 years now. Stage racer who can climb well, attack and stay off the front and sprint from a small bunch. Racing in the GiroBio so should be interesting to see how he goes.
Michael Torckler - New Zealand - 12/04/1987
Kiwi youngster who's having some good results and is on the up. Won a few stage races but his MO seems to be attacking the bunch on any terrain and keeping ahead of them to win the stage so built very strong, current U/23 TT champion
Another from Australia's Genesys he's a bit of a stage racer but Earle's forte is more climbing/puncheur style profiles and sprinting from a select group, probably better at the classics.
A very strong track rider, will be at the Olympics. Does a bit on the road already but he will be like all the other fomer track cyclists coming from Aus onto the road so strong in TT and resistance.
Very good in .2 races, grabs a win almost every season. Current Serbian RR and TT champion, good in sprints but also able to survive in not very difficult stage races. Notable results: 2 stages at Tour of Turkey 2007(back when it was 2.2), 2nd in GC Tour of Serbia (2.2) 2009, 1st in Mayor Cup 2010 (1.2), 4 national ITT wins, 3 national RR wins.
Don't know much about this fella', he rides for Loborka - Favorit, a continental team from Croatia, no notable results but could be a decent helper for Div2 teams. He was 14th in Tour of Qinghai lake last year.
Rides for Hincapie's development team, and from what I know about him he shoud be the next Ivan Stevic. In terms of cycling abilities, not personality God forbid. 2nd in a local 1.2 sprint race last year behind Der Zsolt.
2n best Serbian time trialist, 3 national TT titles, and an occasional good stage race result in the .2 category races. 3d in Tour of Serbia 2010, 10th in Giro del Friuli 2009, 7th in Tour of Alanya and 9th in Tour of Gallipoli 2011, all 2.2. Should be a decent Div2 helper.
And last, but not the least, a guy who scored his best results riding for Greek team Cosmote - Kastro and AC Sparta Praha. He is a decent .2 level puncheur, and even has decent stage race results, most notably a win in GP Bradlo (previously won by Bodnar and Hansen) in 2009, and 2nd in Tour of Halkidiki in 2008.
To sum it up, these are, except Zekavica who is young, all decent local riders, and would most definitely be a good addition to any Div2 team next season, preferably my team, or any other eastern European team
