Batista is actually back. Sorry for those long time without any update Had a lot to work.
The second stage is waiting for us with a pretty hard stage finish. The last kilometres are pretty exciting with a nice hilly section. We´re not sure if the whole sprint competition is good enough to battle each other over there. Thor Hushovd should be good enough just like his leadout man Van Avermaet.
Docker and Bookwalter had a nice trip at the front today. More than 5 minutes were not possibly for them. The pack with BMC making the pace for most of the stage was just too strong.
Only a few kilometres to go and there were some riders trying to get away before the sprint starts. Hushovd and Van Avermaet were placed brilliantly so far.
Look at that amazing leadout by Greg Van Avermaet. No one was able to follow our team with Greg and Hushovd. Only Bram Tanking was trying to get to them.
He wasn´t only able to get them, he even took the stage finally. Pity, Hushovd lost a lot of speed on the last metres. Van Avermaet finished on the podium, too. Great results for our team but the stage win would have been more important.

Arf... too bad. Able to put 2 riders on the podium but not on the highest step. VA can win it with a good result on the hilly stage! |

Thanks guys
After our brilliant result yesterday, we´re looking forward to repeat that in today´s flat stage. A bunch sprint is expected by us, so the favourites for the stage win are Greipel, Goss, Hushovd and of course Mark Cavendish.
The pack was led by BMC with only a few kilometres left. Greipel and Goss already had the backwheel of Thor Hushovd. Feillu and Cavendish were placed well, too.
Amazing work by our boys with only 3 kilometres to go. Van Avermaet looked great to start the sprint for his captain. Greipel was still in the best position.
The sprint was in process with Thor Hushovd next to Feillu. Cavendish came on the right side, but it looked like he was blocked a bit. Greipel was accelerating quickly out of Hushovd´s slipstream.
Great stage final with Andre Greipel as winner. Unfortunately it wasn´t Hushovd with the best legs today but still a nice 7th place in this great sprint competition. Feillu and Goss are completing the podium for today.

We come in to stage 4 with some decent results to speak of. But obviously being as good as we are, we want to do just a little bit better. The stage calls for minor hills and sun. Perfect for Greg or Thor!
The day starts out with a breakaway of 10 or so riders. Tim Roe is able to get in the break for BMC. But unfortunately the riders get swept up with about 20kms to go, meaning it will be down to a sprint yet again.
Garmin push the pace at the front for their man, Tyler Farrar. BMC group a few riders at the front in preparation for the mass dash for the line.
GreenEDGE start the sprint at the front. They look to have a great train today and Goss is looking good right now. He has Farrar and Greipel just behind him though!
But Goss hold on for the win! Hushovd gets a Top 10 and same with Van Avermaet! Its a good ride for BMC!

Both Hushovd and Van Avermaet are achieving regular top ten finishes, so that win cant be far away for the team |

Its the dreaded Willunga hill. Australia is so flat, the organisers made the riders go over the hill twice! Of course it should pose a challenge for all, and only the best hilly riders will be able to win here!
Spoiler Yeah, I forgot to take a bunch of screens this stage, including the finish
All the breakaway riders were swept up, as we went over Willunga for the first time! But at the foot of the descent, Viscioso and Bak went on the offensive! It is a good effort, but surely the peloton will chase this one down!
Van Avermaet gives it his best shot, with a late attack! Hushovd is feeling good so this play in to BMC's tactics. He is in chase of Viscioso and Bak!
In the final sprint for the line, Vicsioso is only a few meters ahead of the others! Hushovd has a great position and could be going for a podium!
But Vicsioso holds on for the win! He showed he was the strongest rider today! Roche made a great come from behind sprint to finish 2nd place! Thor Hushovd did amazingly well to pull off a 5 on Willunga!

I think I accidentally deleted a few of the screens I had saved for the report, so I will do my best to describe how it went.
It was time for the final stage of the race! Hushovd and Van Avermaet are both in great postitions for BMC so they will both be protected! And who knows, a win today could put Thor in 1st place with the time bonuses!
Roe was able to get in the breakaway of 13 riders, but they were only given a small gap of 45 seconds for most of the stage, because it is so short! They were reeled in with 15km to go, which meant we shifted our focus from catching the break, to getting Thor the win!
Burghardt, Hincapie and Bookwalter are worked hard to set up a train with 8km left, and Hushovd followed! Van Avermaet was told to follow one of the other sprint trains, in case Thor's plan fails.
Hincapie pulled off, then Bookwalter and with 2km to go, so did Burghardt! Hushovd was in 3rd spot behind Greipel and Davis. Cav was coming quick though!
But Greipel takes the win, ahead of Cav, Farrar and Hushovd manages to take 4th, actually a terrific result for him! Van Avermaet was also able to cross in 14th place!
So what a way to cap off the race! Hushovd 4th in GC and Van Avermaet gets 7th! The team can be happy about this result!
