@ baia 1 of many I hope
There will be a lot of breaks, our goal is to let the other teams do the majority of the work until roughly 40km to go. We will use Denifl to attack and keep Haas in the main group for the sprint.
Note: I was originaly only going to have about 5 screens for this race as it wasnt important, so if they don't make sense, sorry.

The race began with many failed breakaway attempts.
Eventually a group of riders formed at the front with a 2'22'' gap after 20km, the most notable riders were E.Viviani (LIQ), P.Lang (ARH), M.Pederen (CWO) and R.Di Salvo from Miche.
On the first large climb of the day, a split occured leaving 80 riders in the peloton. The other group will never catch up.
The rainy and overcast conditions claim their first of many, many falls of the day - it's Dall'Antonia from Liquigas.
S.Pirazzi from Colnago attacks with 95km left. He is looking strong opening up an easy gap on the peloton.
He reaches the first group on the 2nd large climb and goes straight to the front to push the pace.
..And within a kilometer disappears off into the distance of the other riders.
Travis Meyer protects Nathan Haas.
Almost onto the final climb of the race and Pirazzi holds a 4'45'' gap with 49.2km left!
With 35km to go, a select group of 23 riders is left to chase down Pirazzi, who is going strong with a 4 minute gap. All but one rider from Team JB-HIFI is in this group. Phelan missed out due to an accident.
With 32km to go, Haas just drifts off the front with no resistance. Will he go on, or drop back?
Eventually, 5 kilometers later the threat is seen in Haas and Trofimov counters an attack from Paterski. El Fares (TT1) joins with Denifl coming up on his wheel. Sylvester Szymd of Liquigas attack behind after getting caugth out.
Pirazzi out in front with 12km to go. He holds a slender lead with a 1 minute and 44 second gap over Nathan Haas
and still over 2 minutes on Trofimov and El Fares. Paterski has been dropped.
8.2km left and Trofimov and El Fares are gaining on Haas quickly. They are 44' behind him. Should he drop back and conserve energy for the sprint? Also, Haas is now only 50' away from Pirazzi!
..And contact is made! 3.2km left, Pirazzi looks even more tired then Haas. They musn't start playing games, Trofimov and El Fares are only 30' down and Trofimov is looking in good shape.
Trofimov on El Fare's wheel, they are dangerously close to catching the leading duo now! Only 2.5 kilometers to race!
800m left! Haas explodes from Pirazzi's wheel. The other two won't catch them!
Perfect timing! 500m to go and Pirazzi has well and truly hit the wall. Haas accelerates again and off he goes!
And he wins it! Fantastic victory for Nathan Haas. He wasn't our leader, but he was definetly the strongest and will take this win, his first win of the year!
Trofimov comes in 40 seconds later with El Fares limping home behind. A good result for Team Type 1.
Denifl rides well to secure 7th.
An extremely happy Nathan Haas on the podium!

And also any criticism is appreciated, and I know the reports haven't been fantastic, but this is only my first story so I guess i'm still getting the hang of it

You want criticism, then you'll get criticism
Okay, the reports look good, so do the screens. I have 2 points for advice:
1. To me it's nice to see the results from the previous year (even though these are the irl-results) in the preview of a race.
2. You have a lot of screens. 20 for Laigueglia is, in my opinion, way too much. This way, you'll loose th emotivation to do a story sooner or later. I'd say: the .1 races only a few screens (1-3), the .HC some more (3-7), and save the big reports for the WT races.
But these 2 thing are only my humble opinion, do with it what you like.

Thankyou, exactly what i've wanted to hear.
Well I originally was only going to have about 5 screens for it, but it got a littl out of hand
And yes the previous year''s results does sound like a good idea also.
Advice taken

I agree with dienblad....plus, imo i think you should focus more on your riders but without so many screens.... make reports shorter and you will progress faster and not loose your motivation...
Oohh, and great win btw...

I have to admit that I haven't followed this in detail yet, because there are so many stories around and so many new ones are starting every few days. But skimming over it, it looks pretty decent for a first story. Sure, it could be more appealing, graphic-wise, but as you said, you're still getting into it, so that's fine. You have a great team with interesting riders which reminds me a bit of the early Dark Dog, and you seem to have the enthusiasm which is essential for writing a story, so if you can keep it up a bit longer, you'll have my full attention
As for advice: I agree with dienblad, 20 screens for a small classic aren't necessary. Except if you feel like they are. You have to find your own reporting style and if that includes 20-some screens for every report, then that's absolutely fine with me! Also: I prefer centered screens. But what you really should do is to make spaces between your texts and screens. A screen and the respective text together is fine but it makes unclear if there are no gaps at all.
So, just my two cents Keep it up!

It will be a race for a puncheur-type rider to try and get away at the end on the small hill before the finish, our plan is to try this with Haas.
We are using this as a development race for 3 of our young riders, Mawrocki, Davis and Al Temiyat.
It was a horrible wet and cold day in Switzerland.
The breakaway eventually forms, with the most notable riders being the versatile Hayakawa (NPO), N.Trussov (RUS) and R.Liu (CSS) The peloton keeps them at bay at 1'22''.
A bit early in the year, no?!
Bertagnoli of Lampre attacked with 75km left and bridged the 2 minute gap with ease.
Daniel Moreno, Katusha's leader, punctures with 65km left, but remains in the peloton. Soon after Damiano Cunego falls in the slippery weather, and also remains.
With 45km left to race, Team JB-HIFI move to the front to assist Astana and Katusha with the pacemaking.
Just under 20km remain - and the gap is just over a minute. Bertagnoli is trying to go off the front of the breakaway group, but with no luck. The charging peloton are snaking their way along the windy roads in the background.
And the sprint starts, Bertagnolli and Sergey Chernetskiy of the Itera-Katusha team are still out in front and there's only 2km left! Marcato (VCD) and Vicioso (KAT) aren't going to give up without a fight though.
It's game over for the peloton and Chernetskiy, Bertagnolli and Lampre rode a phenomonal race and used great tactics, and in the end they will hopefully get the best result.
And he takes it by over 500m to the peloton. Chernetskiy finishes 2nd, Vicioso 3rd and our Haas finishes next in 4th, a good ride by him!
(Fix soon)

Last year's Results:
A slightly technical course, should end up with a mass sprint finish unless the peloton gets lazy and gives too much time to the break.
Riders:
We are fielding a strong sprinting squad for this race, with either David Cimolai or Johnathan Cantwell as our main sprinter.
Team Endura wouldn't let anyone get away in the first 50km, before they realised they were wasting effort better used for later and layed off the pace. A break formed at the front 10km later, with the most notable riders being B.Lima (Onda), W. Marantes (COL), and W.Routley of Spidertech.
The gap quickly grew, and with 85km remaining the gap was out pst the 5 minute mark. We took up the chasing in the group to reduce the gap and eventually bring them back.
The team worked too well in chasing the break, and unintentionally brought them back in, still with 59km left.
With 10km remaining, the team was beginning to look for good position towards the front.
And the sprint starts! Team JB-HIFI lead with Haas leading out Walker, and then Cimolai and Cantwell.
[/center
Just a kilometer to go now, and M.Gilbert of Spidertech is leading Cantwell and Baugines of NetApp.
[center]
And Manuel Cardoso comes from behind and takes everyone by surprise! He is flying!
And he takes it! Russell Downing (EDR) comes in second with a photo-finish leaving Cantwell to take third. A good race overall for the team, We could have done better but Cardoso was just to strong and fast in the finale.

February Review:
Rankings:
Continental individual:
Continental Team:
Superprestige Individual:
Superprestige Team:
After a very successfull February, we go into March with only 3 one-day races which we hope to perform well at. For us, the season has started with minimal races, but as the year progresses our racing schedule will get more and more complec and diverse, in other words, a lot more races!
I am unable to pick a 'rider of the month', as we as a team have gone into this season expecting an occasional win and a few top tens, so really little to no expectations except to grow as a team. And to come out and in the first 40 days win 5 races/stages, it makes it so much better! Rafael Valls and Nathan Haas are undisputedly the stand-out riders, but other riders, the teammates who helped them to have any chance of winning any of these races also need credit after their incredible and ultimately unexpected performances.
Well done to the team!
