If you use the official editor, then yeah you'd have that problem, but you can always use the full editor. As far as I know, it does not replicate that error.
got the full editor, put the db in databases. but got the error - could not find...export.xml
Is it a career you already started? I remember getting that error too when loading an already started career. And I don't exactly know why, I guess the a career start generates some corrupt files or something like that.
What you can do is use the "convertos d'alyssa", export the DYN_cyclist and then edit from there. That should work.
got the converter, but what to do then? already launched some exe, got the db I want to edit and the directory where it is, choose export and nothing happens (((
and I just want to put contador in saxo from the beginning of the season, change rui costa stats to 76 in mountain, and sagan with 74 in cobblestones (((
Ok, so,
1. Have all the convertor files in a folder by themselves.
2. Copy your database in the same folder.
3. Run the "02 DYN_cyclist" (That's the one for stats)
4. Choose your database in the database field.
5. Click on export. This will create a txt file.
6. Now you can do one of two things: open the txt file with excel
open the txt file with notepad
With notepad it's much harder finding the values you wanna edit, but it's safer for avoiding errors. With excel it's much easier to edit, but you're gonna have to do one thing first. (well the way I do it at least, if anybody knows a better way, I'd be glad to know about it!)
Notepad: Just find the value you wanna edit, you'll have to count which field you wanna edit, which is really troublesome. I'd suggest using excel rather.
Excel:
1. Open your txt file with notepad first.
2. Then go Edit --> Replace
3. Replace all "," with "comma"
Replace all "(" with "left"
Replace all " ) " with "right" (the space is only because it appears as a smiley otherwise)
4. Save the file.
5. Open the file with excel.
6. If it prompts for an error, just say yes you wanna open the file.
7. You will see a screen of a preview of your file in Text Import Wizard. (I'm using excel 2007, I'm not sure whether it's exactly the same with other versions)
8. Click next on the first screen, to get to the second screen.
9. There is a field called "delimiters"
10. In the other field type "|" (not l but the long vertical dash)
11. Click finish.
Then you'll have your excel file which you can edit as you please.
12. When you are done editing, save the file in csv (comma delimited) format, with a different filename.
13. Open the csv file with notepad.
14. Replace all "," with "|"
Replace all "comma" with ","
Replace all "left" with "("
Replace all "right" with " ) "
15. Save as txt file with the original name, i.e, DYN_cyclist.
Then you need to import that data back into the cdb file.
Run the 02 DYN_cyclist again, and choose your cdb file as before in the databse field. Choose the txt file you just saved in the directory field and click import.
That's it! It looks really long but it's really simple! |

Oh I just remembered, if it's the original nrwr database you are editing, there's a much simpler way.
The error is due to the filename, just change it to something simple like nrwr instead of the long nrwr version 1.0 or whatever it is. Then use full editor. |

If you're using full editor, it should. Just choose your export and then load the table DYN_cyclist.
First column is ID_cyclist, then a bit further is fkIDteam. |

I've worked on the stats of major riders, still in the process of revising the stats of other riders in the world tour teams though.
I'd really appreciate if anyone were willing to test the db and notify me of the results. I haven't tested it out over the course of a season, but the gameplay and results from single races were very good.

Thanks, I started a carreer with Movistar Team and already raced in Mallorca, I think the db its ok, I dont see mistakes, I checked some riders and I thik the stats are right, but I think Jose Sarmiento from Liquigas stats are too low... anyway its ok I guess...
About my request, thank you very much for try it, I don´t know what kind of information do you need, If you tell me I can organize the data you need... but just in case you could check the Epm-Une team racing in Utah since tomorrow to get an idea... |
