Forgetting Alarcon, are we?
Will be interesting to see which riders actually gets a spot in the line up for the big nations, I'm thinking too many captains will prove a mess too, so this will definitely be fun to watch. Both the selections and the races. |

The startlist is definately going to be a weird one - some squads are lining up to be nothing like how I would pick if I wanted that country to have it's best chances of winning

Hehe well I didn't pick a single JRB rider for the French squad - which was actually quite a tough one. One name was a certainty, but the others are pretty tough to call.
Going to be fascinating to see who picks who though.

As highlighted by the fact that after 2 people voting, 11 French riders have been nominated!

Belgium, South Africa and Japan through for me. I am under no illusion that any of my riders will be good enough for the really competitive Belgian team. So I've sent what I think is the best team that Belgium can field... there are 4 potential winners there in the RR.
But more importantly...
Arashiro for Olympic Gold! WOOOOO!
Thanks! Japan is in!!

All my votes made it through, which is cool. Especially pleased at Estonia and Lithuania, as they were the ones I really wanted to support to get in. I'll now hopefully have at least a few Cyclevox riders represented

Nice to see at least Czech Republic being in. A shame that Canada with Hesjedal just got 4 voices. |

I was afraid my Kiwi boy won't make it.. Sadly, no Sam Bewley.. So, my only hope for a medal is Jerome Coppel now..

Sorry, I, for one, deliberately voted for Australia to keep him out of the race.

I will be continuing the tradition from 2008 though, and having a B Olympics for all countries nominated that did not make the cut.

Didn't you say he doesn't do anything in time - trials?
Posthuma has been the Dutch time - trial champion for the last 2 years. So no, Keizer is not better.

Nice to see Boom in the squad. A pity that there are so many time trialists in the Netherlands. |

And somehow they still fail to win the World TTT championships

In a race Keizer didn't participate last year, and wasn't max stats 2 years ago?
While he has indeed not performed all that decent in TT's this season, on paper he is still better then Postuma in 2 of the 3 most important TT stats (TT and resistance as opposed to flat). May i remind you that this game is completely random, and the chance that he has performed crap so far in TT's is just because of bad daily form?

That's because Spain have such a dominant team that Tenorio made it as a 73TT once, and Valverde twice.
