I'd like to say we do that, but there's only one TTT in our calendar. |

Can't ask for any of my riders to beat either Coppel or Rogers, even though the Frenchman wasn't that far away. So taking the places for 3rd to 6th is good enough for me.
Also nice to see Van Winden leading the young riders classification here, after doing the same thing in the Giro.
Here's hoping all of you riders crash out before the TTT so I have at least a chance of winning.

Uh oh, not a single guy in the top 30, and 8/9 of my guys were behind 58th place. I think we are screwed for the TTT.

Decent result from Contador and Tim Dees. Quite bad from Bernaudeau though. With 78 TT I actually thought he might be able to snatch a top 10 here.

Awesome ride from Rogers there. My heart sank when I saw how early he was going off. Amazing to take the stage and leaders jersey. Just hope we can hold it now for a few days. Will be huge in the survival fight if we can.
How fast is Kittel in the game? Only sprinter I can see that might be a threat to steal it with time bonuses.
Pity Abal couldn't go a bit faster as well, still got to be satisfied with the win from Rogers. |

Well that's no good. At least its only 2 minutes, could have been worse.

Crazy first stage there.
Too bad Wan Winden lost the white jersey after only one day. Plaza is looking quite comfortable with the 17th place there and hopefully Vaugrenard isn't injured after the crash.

I guess that's a good day for me, but I dislike all crashes.
I am also hoping to kick out a few JW TTers before the TTT, so Van Winden making the cut is a bit disappointing, Ford gone is nice though.

That was an incredibly lame way to try and keep hold of the leaders jersey. Was half expecting it though so the blow is somewhat diluted.... |

This is why Berthou will always be retained. Every freaking time he gets in a break, it makes it all the way and he shows an awesome power for a rider who's better stat is a 71.
This is also very good for the team classification. 5 guys caught on that fall but Machado was in the peloton with Panayotov and Walker so Pearl Adidas are now 2nd in the team classification. If they can hold on to it, a better result in the TTT may become likelier.

We are glad to see that our rivals fear us some much that they want us down before the real fight

Well, Rogers had an amazing day, so at least Coppel got that 2nd place..
And well.. Interesting 2nd stage. And especially, for us. I am really happy for Bouet and De Gendt, great results for them.

That takes the piss. Again. This time I want GC results. So it does matter. And it's very annoying.

Stage 5 I plan to be on the front for 100km pounding away, leaving all the pure TTers miles behind and outside the time limit.
Then I'll do it again the next day up a 50km mountain.
Plaza will have to do the TTT alone.

Another great GT start.
Serpa losing time, Dees losing time, Navardauskas out.
Oh well, we knew this would happen...
